Job description
The Document Controller will be responsible for managing all documents related to construction/manufacturing processes, quality assurance, engineering drawings, and compliance documentation. The ideal candidate will have a keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and experience working in a construction/manufacturing environment.
Document Management:
- Create, maintain update document control procedure to ensure efficient document management across the organization.
- Manage the lifestyle of all documents, including version control, distribution and archiving.
- Ensure all documents are accurately labelled, stored and accessible to authorized personnel
Quality Assurance Documentation:
- Maintain documentation related to quality control and assurance processes, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs) and corrective action reports (CARs)
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure adherence to document control procedures and regulatory requirements.
Engineering Drawing Control:
- Manage Engineering drawings, specifications and technical documents used in the manufacturing of power generators.
- Coordinate revisions, approvals and distribution of engineering drawings among relevant departments.
Compliance and Regulatory Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements and internal policies through accurate documentation control.
- Support audits and inspections by providing timely access to requested documentation and recordfs.
Requirements
- Diploma/Bachelor degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration or related field
- Min 3 years of experience in similar capacity
- Proven experience as a Document Controller in a Manufacturing environment, preferably within the power generation industry.
- Familiarity with document management (DMS) and electronic document control tools.
- Strong understanding of quality management system (QMS) and regulatory requirements (ISO standards, etc)
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a high level; of attention to details.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently while maintaining a collaborative approach.
