Responsible for archiving of documents and packing them for storage. Part-time work arrangement is available.

GENERAL DUTIES

- To manage the overall credit and receivable collection functions of the hotel in the most efficient manner in order to minimize the non-payment of accounts and potential bad debts.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- To be responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the Finance department.

- To ensure that strong and open communication lines are maintained with the Director of Finance.

- To ensure that the hotel credit policy and procedure is adhered to in all departments

ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES

- To discharge the duties in an effective and efficient manner.

TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

- Credit applications:

· Process credit applications within 5 -10 working days, ensuring that clients are notified promptly and professionally.

· The credit worthiness of all applicants is formally checked and approval must be received from the Director of Finance.

· Review the credit worthiness of all existing non-Accor approved clients on a yearly basis.

- City Ledger

· Ensure all invoices / statements are issued on a timely basis.

· Monitor the prompt follow-up of all overdue accounts and minimize the recovery delay.

· Implement effective inquiry response procedure for guests and management.

· Ensure all travel agent commissions are timely processed and paid.

· Report on monthly accounts receivable ageing analysis and detailed accounts’ ledgers.

· Conduct credit meetings at least once a month.

· Attend Credit Managers meetings to keep up to date knowledge of credit risks.

· Appropriately manage all delinquent accounts, liaising with debt collectors where needed.

· Review and recommend accounts to be written off, providing appropriate documentation.

- Guest Ledger and liaison with Front Office

· Liaise between the Accounting Department and the Front Office.

· Ensure PB, PX and PM accounts are checked on daily basis and transferred to city ledger within 48hrs from the departure date.

· Inform the Front Office Manager of any deviations from policy by Assistant

· Managers, or Front Office Cashiers that may come to his / her attention

· Ensure guest refunds are processed in a timely manner as per the hotel policy; with all supporting paperwork and required authorizations.

COMMERCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

- To keep closed contact with hotel debtors i.e. Travel Agents, Airlines, Corporate clients and individuals.

• Review and evaluate personal banking credit facility applications submitted by the various business units, including but not limited to credit cards, housing loans, premium financing loans etc. Ensure that credit applications submitted are in line with the Bank's credit guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Approve personal banking credit facility applications within delegated approval authority. Review and submit for higher level approval if necessary.
• Contribute to the Bank's review and revision of various credit policies and procedures, and assist in the risk review of various business initiatives.
• Perform loan portfolio monitoring and reviews, identify risk areas and propose mitigating measures to discuss with business departments.
• Participate in user requirements gathering and system enhancement projects, as well as User Acceptance Testing.
• Complete other assigned works by the department.

Job Requirement

• Bachelor degree or above (finance, economics or related majors), familiar with personal banking credit products and relevant regulatory requirements.
• 3 years’ experience of credit analysis on personal banking products is preferred
• Strong credit risk analysis and data analysis abilities.
• Possess strong communication skills and demonstrate responsibility and ability to work in teams.
• Effectively bilingual in English and Chinese so as to communicate with Chinese-Speaking counterparts in head office.

• Have a good knowledge of local area and surrounding facilities
• Demonstrate and promote Quality Awareness amongst Front Office team
• Responds to changes in the Front Office function as dictated by the industry, company and hotel
• Coordinates and “rooms not ready” with the Front Office during periods of heavy occupancy
• Keep all departments informed about room statuses, ensure reservations are in system
• Assisting as hotel phone operator
• Ensure the smooth operation of the housekeeping department
• Maintains strong, professional relationship with relevant representatives from competitor hotels, business partners and other organisations
• To understanding of and adhere to the hotel's rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to computer resources, fire, hygiene, health and safety
• Prepare and ensure timely delivery of daily reports to other departments executive office

Position: Admin Officer

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 4/5 days work a week. (11am - 730pm)

Location: Central Area (Chinatown)

Salary: $1600 - $2000

Proficiency in Chinese is a requirement.
