The focus of this role is to, in conjunction with the Regional CFO, support Singapore, China, Indonesia and some parts of Europe, to oversee and manage the financial operations within the group

Finance and Business Reporting

• Prepare on an adhoc basis, monthly, quarterly and annual closings leveraging our existing trading and financial systems for data analysis and reporting. Oversee all accounting matters in all subsidiaries within APAC.
• Oversee the consolidation of financial statements from all subsidiaries for the holding company. Ensure that all financial reporting is in accordance with applicable accounting standards, and intercompany transactions are accurately recorded and eliminated in consolidation.
• Able to translate complex financial data including but not limited to trading P&L into accounting world in compliance with regulatory standards (such as Singapore FRS)
• Working in conjunction with the CFO and collaborate with external auditors during consolidated and statutory audits providing justifications;

Business Collaboration & Analysis

• Work closely with various teams within the group including trading, commercial, marketing, operations, trade & treasury and risk teams to ensure understanding of all P&L, costing methods and enhancement of current accounting systems

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. CA or CPA qualifications is a must. Experience with reporting under IFRS
• 5-8 years of experience in audit and financial controlling, with expertise in commodity trading;
• Strong experience in monthly & quarterly closings and audits, ensuring accuracy and compliance;
• Strong skills in dealing with systems (for example, ETRM, ERP, reporting tools);
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams;
• Proficient in spoken and writing English & Chinese (due to inherent nature of our business / subsidiary in China and able to communicate with suppliers from time to time)
