Job Title: Data Architect - Hybrid Cloudera Cloud Implementation Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect with a proven track record in implementing hybrid Cloudera Cloud solutions for Fintech companies. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Cloudera ON Prem and Cloudera on Cloud hybrid architecture and will be proficient in leveraging this setup to optimize data workflows, security, and governance.

Responsibility:

Hybrid Cloud Implementation: Lead the design and implementation of hybrid Cloudera Cloud solutions, integrating both on-premises and cloud-based Cloudera environments to maximize performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.

Data Ingestion: Design and implement robust data ingestion processes from various sources, including databases and SAP systems. Proficiency in Apache NiFi is highly desirable for streamlining data ingestion workflows.

Data Security: Ensure data security and compliance by implementing effective data masking techniques and maintaining a thorough understanding of regulatory requirements within the fintech industry.

Data Governance: Establish and maintain robust data governance frameworks, including metadata management, data lineage, and policy enforcement. Experience with integrating Alation Data Governance or similar tools is preferred.

ETL Workflow Development: Develop and optimize ETL workflows and data pipelines to enable efficient data transformation and movement across hybrid Cloudera environments. Utilize DataOps principles and CI/CD processes to ensure agility and reliability in data workflows.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in designing and implementing hybrid Cloudera Cloud solutions for fintech companies.
• Proficiency in data ingestion techniques, with hands-on experience in Apache NiFi preferred.
• Strong understanding of data security principles, including data masking and compliance requirements within the fintech sector.
• Experience in establishing and maintaining data governance frameworks, with knowledge of tools like Alation Data Governance.
• Demonstrated expertise in building ETL workflows and data pipelines, utilizing DataOps methodologies and CI/CD processes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications such as Cloudera Certified Professional (CCP) and/or DataOps

This role might be required for travel if the customer requesed.

Language This candidate has to speak both English and Mandarin (Fluent）Cantonese is nice to have.

Responsibilities

Rich experience and knowledge in Data&AI area. Azure OpenAI knowledge is needed, and this engineer has to be senior. This role is expected to contribute all Data&AI area and has to be quick learner as well.

Understanding Customer Technical Environment Gathers customer insights (e.g., feedback around technical preferences, environments, business needs, competitive landscape), and maps architecture and digital transformation solutions to customer business outcomes.

Adapts business models, plans, and solutions to insights. Acts as the voice of the customer (VOC) by driving new feedback, gaps, blockers, insights, resources, etc. across communities to track, add, and prioritize, using established channels (e.g., UAT/TFT).

Technical Expertise & Architecture Design and Deployment.

Act as a subject matter expert in the following areas:

As a Data & AI Solution Architect, you support customer projects as a subject matter expert in two or more of the following Azure AI Platform Cloud solutions (or equivalent on IBM Watson, AWS, GCP platforms):

Azure OpenAI This role is expected to have deep technical knowledge about Azure Open AI service ( must to have )

Azure Bot Services. Azure Cognitive Services, Azure Cognitive Search.  Data Science / Machine Learning including Azure Machine Learning, Azure Databricks.

As a Data & Analytics Architect, you support customer projects as a subject matter expert in one of the data-specific areas:

SQL Server

Deployments and migrations to the cloud. Open-source database deployments and migrations. Cloud Scale Analytics. Data Governance.

Practice Development

Supports research projects and contributes to scoping surveys for customers to assess potential intellectual property (IP) needs or process changes. Learns to identify opportunities for IP re-use and consumption.

Trusted Advisor Identifies and begins developing impactful relationships with internal teams and customer and partner/IDS technical specialists during initial preparation and ramp-up stages. Respectfully challenges customers when going in the wrong direction and escalates appropriately.

Understands the competitor's architecture solutions and identifies Microsoft's strengths over competitive solutions to demonstrate Microsoft's value to customers.

Thought Leadership Shares ideas, insight, and technical input with virtual team members (e.g., account team, enterprise channel managers, partner development manager [PDMs]) using a working knowledge of specific Microsoft architectures and other relevant products.

Actively looks for relevant communities to learn from and contribute to. Participates in external architect community events (e.g., conferences, seminars, technical meetups, Webcasts, blogs, hackathons) and shares learnings with the internal team.

Customer Usage Participates in discussions around architecture design, resiliency reviews, and technical optimization that result in production deployment application and increase customer business value.

Ensures that the customer's environment and applications are well-architected.

Qualifications 10+ years of professional experience in consulting, technical presales, product engineering, or enterprise data platform implementation. Leader role experience or any seniority required role experience is must to have. Ability to work creatively and analytically in a customer-facing environment. Ability to use technologies to achieve business objectives and solve business problems. Ability to build deep working relationships with business and IT stakeholders.

Ability to drive collaboration, resolve conflicts and drive alignments. Ability to orchestrate, lead, and influence virtual teams, ensure successful implementation of customer projects. Expert knowledge and experience in the architecture of enterprise data platform architecture and data lake. Expert knowledge and experience in at least two of the following: NoSQL platforms (MongoDB, Azure Cosmos DB, etc.) and NoSQL data modeling. RDBMS (Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, Oracle DB) and RDBMS data modeling. Data analytics platform and data warehouse (Azure Synapse, Snowflake, BigQuery, etc.) and analytical data modeling. Spark/Databricks, Hadoop, massively parallel processing Data science platform (Azure Machine Learning, Databricks, TensorFlow, SAS, etc.) Knowledge in programming languages (Python, SQL, Java, etc.) is preferred.

Knowledge in software engineering methodologies.

Certified Scrum Master is a plus. Knowledge in Azure OpenAI (This role is expected to have deep technical knowledge about Azure Open AI service ( must to have ))

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small technical audiences.

Enterprise-scale technical experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, and technology management.

Job Responsibilities

• Analyse and align the functional and non-functional requirements (application security, database design, resiliency, performance , reusability, etc) from both Business and Technology stakeholders and design an application architecture and application infrastructure solution that is consistent with the application’s requirement

• Work with domain architecture team to drive platform/ product roadmap.

• Good knowledge of strategic IT solutions and hands-on experience in software development.
• A strong understanding of recent Java language features.
• Good knowledge of algorithms and data structures, with strong fundamentals in complexity analysis
• Strong ability to analyze code – understand execution flow & debug even without access to a debugger
• At least 5 years of experience with Sql Server or any other RDBM
