Roles & Responsibilities
Main Scope
To support engineering design, development, and project delivery and completion.
Description of the Role
Engineering Design Activities
• Participate in project kick off, concept and design reviews and other project meetings as needed.
• Prepare design calculation / bill of material / drawings on assigned jobs.
• Participate in Crane/Structure Complete Checks and inter-discipline checks.
• Maintain knowledge of class rules.
• Produce technical manuals on request.
• Assisting Technical Sales Support when required.
Document Management
• Establish as-built and input regarding final documentation to project documentation engineer.
• Establish and distribute project documentation such as BOM, production log and component list etc.
Reporting Progress and Work Involvement
• Report to manager in the individual projects.
• Prepare progress report on work schedule.
• Preparation of test procedure and report in accordance to design requirement.
• Recommend and initiate corrective actions to meet project plan.
• Report non-conformances in QA System.
Others
• To execute key tasks/project assigned by Supervisor as and when.
Job Requirements
Education
• BSc or Higher Degree in Marine / Offshore Mechanical or Structure Engineering
Experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience in design marine-offshore Crane product / Steel structure.
• Familiar to Class rules / Standards for crane and steel structure design.
• Knowledge in design software Solidwork, able to use FEA is preferable.
