- LNG exp is not a must. Open to shipping operators cands covering oil and chemical who are keen to learn.
- Good Knowledge of shipping services/ products, terms, and practices.
Our client is an international LNG trading MNC which is very stable and established. It is based in town (right next to a MRT station). The co allows for a WFH arrangement one day per week.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Proactive and effective liaison and coordination between commercial (trading & long- term), commercial shipping, back-office team, and other related stakeholders.
- Post-fixture responsibilities include effective liaison and coordination between vessel master and seller/buyer/LNG terminal/ship agents etc., insurance, LNG/Bunker optimization management, bunker procurement, Panama booking.
- Development and issuance of voyage Instruction to vessel Master.
- Monitoring of vessel position and performance by Noon Report, Sea Log etc. (daily and voyage based)
- Supporting the analysis of vessel’s performance and optimizing operation.
- Supporting the revision of business processes related to shipping operations.
- Assist to handle demurrage and off-hire claims.
- Ensure accuracy of the shipping documents, Bill of Lading and Letter of Indemnities as required.
- Other supporting roles include monitoring requirements of (i) related SPA and TCP,
(ii) International Regulation and Guidelines related LNG vessel/terminal, (iii) Ship- Shore Compatibility, and (iv) on assignment basis, support Commercial Shipping Team and/or cargo operation (as secondary role).
- The principal duties and responsibilities may be amended from time to time as necessary to reflect the overall activity and team structure, including being responsible for shipping and cargo operations activities.
REQUIREMENT:
- Diploma or Degree in Shipping, Maritime Studies, Logistics or equivalent.
- Any previous commercial operations with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a shipping, logistics or freight forwarding company would be a plus.
- Knowledge of supply chain processes, operations, and Time Charter Party.
- Good Knowledge of shipping services/ products, terms, and practices.
- Good communication skill with good command over written and spoken English.
- Excellent organization, planning and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
