We are looking to hire a Solution / Domain Architect to support our client in Singapore which is a top global investment bank.
Your background
- You have domain knowledge of Payments, Accounting Services, Liquidity Management, Receivables, Trade & Supply Chain Finance, Commercial Card domains (some or all preferred).
- You have had experience driving shared service strategy and performance culture.
- Drives best practices approach to the continuous improvement of our products, processes, and tools.
- You are a motivated self-starter.
- You thrive in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
- You have relevant IT experience (SDLC – Waterfall / Agile).
- Strong Business Partner coordination.
- You can lead and contribute to automation, causal analysis, and development of shared / common solutions.
- You have strong verbal and written communication skills (able to cater to technical and non-technical audience).
- You are an analytical and innovative thinker, pays great attention to details and enjoys solving problems.
- You can translate complex concepts into multiple architectural “views” aimed at varying audiences.
- You have broad based IT knowledge and experience across Financial Software, Middleware, Databases.
- You can interpret business needs and apply innovative technology solutions.
- You have at least 8+ years’ experience working in Banking / Financial Services Technology discipline.
- You have a bachelor’s degree in computer science / related field or related work experience.

The Team provides Global Corporate & Investment Banking and Global Payment Solutions with direction on technology strategy and solutions in order to align with the business strategy. The Team manages architecture-related risks along with driving adherence to published standards, principles, and technology blueprints. The Team current has an exciting Solutions Architect opportunity for an experienced technologist supporting Payments, Accounting Services, Liquidity Management, Receivables, Trade & Supply Chain Finance and Commercial Card domains. The Team has a Global presence in the US, EMEA and APAC. The selected candidate would have the opportunity to work on an exciting, challenging, and varied book of work.
What you will do
- Responsible for defining an architectural vision and solution architecture which aligns with the business strategy, enterprise architecture strategy, technology, and platform choices.
- Describes the solution intent and the associated operating environment, determines the primary systems/subsystems and their interfaces, defining non-functional requirements.
- Ensures the solution is fit for purpose by working with stakeholders, vendors/service providers. In parallel, evaluating the impact of strategic design decisions.
- Working with both business and technology to create the solution intent and architectural vision.
- Leads rapid shaping of a high-level architecture with details filled in with emerging business requirements; ensures architecture is flexible and modular and designed to adapt easily.
- Utilizes the defined best practices, templates, and documentation to create architectural designs.
- Works with Product Manager/Owner to plan and prioritize technology focused backlog items for the architecture runway.
- Clarifies the architecture for the development teams to support implementation and provides solution options to resolve any impediments.
- Performs design reviews to ensure all non-functional requirements for a solution are sufficiently met (e.g., security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability).
- This is an individual contributor position.
