We seek a detail-oriented and creative Interior Drafter to join our design team. The Senior Design Manager is responsible for providing support to the Project Director and managing design development of projects in Singapore and the wider APAC region.

This includes taking the lead on managing all aspects of design and being responsible for the overall liaison between the design discipline teams the Client and contractor to ensure that designs are delivered on time in the most efficient and cost-effective way.

The role

You will be responsible for the successful delivery of multi-disciplinary projects. This involves managing the design teams, acting as the point of contact for all parties involved in the project (e.g. client, contractors, sub-consultants), and ensuring communication and project collaboration between the various channels is managed effectively.

The requirements

Educated to degree level in Engineering or equivalent and having gained significant experience within a fast-paced and complex consultancy environment, you will have developed a strong understanding of the technical aspects of design and construction matters, systems and processes

In your most recent position, you have consistently demonstrated your ability to manage multiple large-scale projects to deliver to, and exceed, client expectations.

You will have experience working with an international team and coordinating design development process remotely as well as experience of leading / managing the design activities.

Possessing excellent organisational, planning and time management skills in order to manage projects simultaneously without compromising on standards and quality,you will have a proactive approach when it comes managing your own workload and that of others in your team.Major projects /Data Centre experience will be highly regarded.

Assist the outlet manager in the overall management of the studio.

Ensuring smooth operations within the studio, including administration and front desk duties, and providing tip-top customer service to the art jammers.

Handle studio bookings and general enquiries through phone calls, emails, and reservation systems.

Monitor stock levels and ensure that the studio is well-stocked at all times.

Collection and recording of fees.

Arrange online order/ delivery for our e-commerce products.

We are hiring under Recruit Express headcount, and you will be deployed to:

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Architecture: Design and architect end user computing solutions encompassing physical desktops, laptops, tablets (iPads), virtual desktops and think clients. Develop detailed technical specifications and deployment strategies.

Device Management: Implement and manage a variety of EUC devices including windows PCs, iPads, Thin Clients. Ensure efficient provisioning, configuration and lifecycle management.

Virtual Desktop Infrastructure: Lead the implementation and management of thin client and VDI solutions, including VMware Horizon. Optimize performance and ensure high availability.

Role and Responsibilities

1. Monitor and endeavor to maintain high student morale and motivation at all times, both in the Employee’s specific classes and the College in general.
2. Work as necessary to achieve the successful day-to-day operation of classes and the maximum progress of students under the responsibility of the Employee.
3. Assist in maintaining general College discipline and the overall operational stability, integrity and professional image of the College.
4. Monitor and enforce student attendance and punctuality.
5. Counsel individual students regarding attendance, punctuality, academic progress, professional development, and behavior as required and in co-operation with the Programme Director, Student and Administration Services Manager, and Principal.
6. Liaise with parents or employers if necessary and appropriate and provide both informal and formal College reports as required.
7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
8. Advise/notify the Programme Director or Student and Administration Student Services Manager on any matter of which you are aware which relates either directly or indirectly to your teaching position, College programmes and/or curriculum, College equipment, students, or general College matters.
9. Maintain confidentiality in matters relating to individual students. Student matters are considered to be confidential and are to be discussed on a professional basis with senior staff only (Programme Director, Principal, College Director, Student and Administration Services Manager). Student matters of a confidential, personal, or sensitive nature are not to be a general topic of discussion between staff.
10. Assist with College promotional activities (Open House, Trade Shows, Education Fairs, etc.) as proposed by the College, both in and out of normal College hours.
11. Be available to students outside normal class hours for questions and individual consultant for a reasonable period of time each week. Times can be set in conjunction with the Programme Director.
12. Be diligent in conducting of classes. The Employee will be punctual for classes and other activities, ensure complete class sessions according to course schedules and notify the College (except in emergencies) as early as possible with respect to absences.
13. Abide by the College’s Policies and Procedures.
14. Teaching between 25 to 30 hours per week at our College, and accomplish all duties relating to this task, including the preparation of courses, setting of exams, grading, and the evaluation of educative performance.

General competency and experience in:

• 2D and/or 3D animation, visual effects, compositing, motion graphics, and storyboarding
• Concept art development using physical and/or digital tools

The Role

This excellent opportunity would see you being based in our office in Singapore and working on some of the most exciting projects across Asia and internationally.

As part of our established structural team for Asia, you would work closely with colleagues of various disciplines, prepare structural modelling, analysis and detailed calculation for multiple materials, using appropriate software.

You will work across a variety of sectors and will have the opportunity over time to assume greater levels of responsibility and autonomy as your professional skills develop, and as you work and are supported towards PE registration / Chartership with IStructE, ICE or another equivalent organization.

The Skills

Having already been accredited with at MEng degree level (or equivalent) in Civil or Structural Engineering and with 3 to 4 years' work experience already completed, you have gained strong practical experience of structural engineering within a consultancy environment, and a competent level of relevant IT skills, including structural design software (Tekla Structural Designer, Robot Structural Analysis, SAP2000, Tedds etc.), appropriate 3D geometric modelling and parametric tools, such as Rhino and Grasshopper.

You are familiar with local codes of practice and authority submission and approval procedures.

You have a solid understanding of Parametric Modelling, Scripting and Structural Optimisation whilst possessing basic knowledge in the application of Machine Learning. You have proven ability to produce creative design solutions in multiple materials, including steel, reinforced concrete, and crucially - you have a passion for creative and intuitive design. You have demonstrated enthusiasm for design technology and using computational design-based solution to improve the design and performance of the built environment.

You are organised and methodical in your approach to managing your tasks and priorities. You strive to meet deadlines and have a close appreciation of the commercial factors which affect design solutions.
