For our local agency (based in Singapore), we are looking for a Lead Design Engineer to fulfill a full-time position specialized in HVAC systems for the Marine & Offshore Industry.

Our future Lead Design Engineer must have a thorough knowledge of the HVAC systems which includes but is not limited to the following systems: air-conditioning systems, ventilation systems, split units, automation & electrical systems, instrumentations, ducting, piping, etc…

As an HVAC Lead Design Engineer, you will be leading the team of HVAC Design Engineers and supporting the Project Manager(s). Your duties and responsibilities are as follows:

• Effectively respect the Design & Production (manufacturing & equipment delivery) schedules.

• Successfully manage the technical relationship with our clients.

• Produce and/or lead the production of P&ID, D&ID and all drawings required during the projects’ design stages.

• Produce and/or lead the production of the thermal, pressure drop & acoustic calculations.

• Lead the production of the electrical design & wiring diagrams

• Attend meetings at the shipyard and conduct the presentation & explanation of our design drawings and technical documentation.

Job Overview:

Design Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and completion of various design projects. To guide a team to meet the overall objectives of projects.

• Develop project plans outlining the scope, timeline, and resources required for successful completion of renovation projects.
• Collaborate with team members and other stakeholders to define project requirements and objectives.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure seamless execution of design plans.
• Conduct regular meetings to review progress, address issues, and coordinate tasks among team members.
• Clarify project scopes and deliverables with stakeholders.
• Coordinate capabilities, workload, and resources across multiple projects.
• Develop resource plans using resource scheduling tools.
• Document changes in scope, and issues and risks that affect project implementation.
• Establish project requirements to determine human resources, information, materials and technology needed.
• Establish project timelines, activities, resource plans and cost estimates.
• Monitor and control project costs, making adjustments as necessary to stay within budget constraints.
• Act as the primary point of contact between the company and clients, providing regular updates on project progress.
• Address client concerns, changes in scope, and any other issues that may arise during the project. Provide on-the-job training to direct reports and junior team members.
• Recommend schedule changes and adjustments to cost and resources.
• May require long hours for projects, which includes extensive collaboration with stakeholders, reviewing work done.
• Identify and address potential delays, working to keep the project on schedule.
• Track projects against established schedules, budget, manpower and technical quality targets.

Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor Degree or related
• Minimum 10 years experience in Design/ Construction/ Renovation field.
• Proven track record in managerial role
