Diagnostic Radiographers

Diagnostic radiographers work with sophisticated medical equipment and use a wide range of techniques to produce radiographic images of the human body to aid the healthcare team in diagnosing illness or injury. They manage the technology to produce, display, manipulate, transmit and archive radiographic images. The image data is processed using high-end systems to produce complex multi-planar and 3D reconstructions. Radiographer, Cardiac Radiology

The Department of Cardiac Radiology provides the patients of NHCS with diagnostic radiological imaging services and invasive cardiology procedure imaging services. Diagnostic radiological imaging includes general radiography, mobile radiography and CT scans. The CT team provides specialised Cardiac Scans for diagnostic, pre-procedural and surgical planning.

As part of the invasive cardiac angiography team, you will assist in procedures such as Coronary Angiography and Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA) at the Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory and Hybrid Operating Theatre.
