• Participate in engineering activities during project execution including but not limited to preparation of Scope of Work / Design Memorandum / Minimum Functional Specification, tender review on technical proposals and clarifications, attend site queries and site installation issues that related to design, pre-commissioning, testing and commissioning, PSSR etc.
• Participate in HAZOP, QRA, EIA studies.
• Review and approval of detailed design submitted by Contractors and ensure compliance with Standards and all the company best practices.
• Familiar with multiple energy resource simulation and and optimization tools.
• Establish system and documentation for company engineering standards & specification, ITP, approved vendor/manufacturer list, material specifications, discipline’s schedule of rates and cost estimate template, engineering checklists etc.
• Ensure all activities carried out are in full compliance to all regulatory and authority requirement.
• Ensure engineering support is provided in a timely manner to all stakeholders through resource planning, close collaboration with discipline engineers and team members, contractor management, etc.
• Where applicable, provide training and guidance other team members.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree in chemical engineering, process design and engineering discipline or equivalent
• At least 8 years of experience in energy business related engineering management and project management (engineering and construction).
• Experience in power and water utilities as well as renewable energy projects is preferred.
• Good command of multiple energy resource simulation and optimization tools is preferred.

Our client is a leading Civil & Infrastructure Contractor that provides engineering & construction for Civil & infrastructure projects.

With increasing projects in the pipeline locally & overseas, they are seeking for a M&E Desgin Coordinator to join their local team.

Responsibilities

• Usage of AutoCAD to superimpose all service drawings into structure / archi drawings and identify all the clashes
• Lead sub-con performs T&C for all the systems installed
• Conduct weekly technical meetings with Subcon and consultants to close all the technical issues.
• Study and monitor consultant’s design progress and drawings as per submission / detail design schedule agreed.
• Manage the project's design coordination works.
• Liaise with Clients, Consultants, and Subcontractors to ensure the smooth progress of the coordination. Ensure the information between different disciplines is communicated and discussed among the team.
• Manage drawing coordination and drawing schedule accordingly
• Work with drafters on drawings preparation to capture all detail dimensions and settings.
• Understand and convey technical information to Drafters / BIM Modelers via sketches. Able to identify the critical technical information/sections that need to be generated for construction usage and technical resolution
• Work with the construction team and sub-cons to prepare and submit for approval the construct i) material submission, ii) material specification submission, iii) method statement, and iv) specialist trade sub-con shop drawings
• Address and resolve technical issues raised by the construction and consultant's teams, through clear communication and good documentation.

The Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the design of the M&E Coordination works for LTA Project
• Experience in the construction of Civil Defense shelters and underground MRT in LTA projects will be an advantage
