As we continue to expand, we are looking for a seasoned and dynamic Financial Controller to join our growing team.
Job Summary:
The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial operations across both Singapore and Guinea. The successful candidate will ensure the smooth functioning of financial processes, reporting, and compliance, while providing strategic financial advice to the leadership team. This role is critical in driving financial performance and ensuring the company's long-term growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial and accounting operations, including but not limited to budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards in Singapore and Guinea, including taxation and audit requirements.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and control.
- Manage and coordinate the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to the executive team to support decision-making and business growth.
- Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring continuous professional development.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other consultants to ensure compliance with local regulations in both Singapore and Guinea.
- Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions to optimize financing and cash management.
- Support fundraising efforts, including financial due diligence and investor reporting.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA, ACCA, or CFA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in financial management, with a strong understanding of international business operations, ideally in tech companies.
- Proven experience with financial reporting and regulatory requirements in both Singapore and Guinea.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial analysis tools.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel occasionally to Guinea for business operations.
Preferred:
- Experience in tech companies or startups.
- Familiarity with the financial and regulatory environments in Guinea.
- Fluency in English and French is an advantage.
