  • Professional certification or licensure (e.g., PE, Chartered Engineer) is desirable.
  • Proven experience in formwork design, structural engineering, or a related role within the construction industry.
  • Willingness to be trained and use Tekla design software is a bonus
  • Proficient in using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla) for creating detailed formwork designs.
  • Strong understanding of structural analysis and design principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent starch analysis and other laboratory analysis
• Able to execute independently starch analysis in terms of physical and application properties
• This will include jet cooking, handsheet marking and reactivity test
• Conduct starch bench marking test with the guidance from supervisor
• Support day-to-day operations of NSPI Technical Center
• Upkeep of laboratory supplies - Source quotations, raise PO and make payment with proper book keeping
• Process sample request from technical service
• Keep track of incoming sample
• Partake in the safety activities of both the lab and the company
• Support new Product Development and application projects
• Setting up lab apparatus
• Keying of data and conduct appropriate data processing
• Conduct basic lab testing independently
• Support any other general administrative duties/ad-hoc projects as assigned by immediate supervisor.

Requirements

• Minimum a diploma in Material Science / Technology / Science
• Able to start work on short notice
