This leader should collaborate with our Prime Video business, content & Amazon MGM studio teams to provide more actionable feedback on what is most likely to resonate with our audiences and help steer the content decisioning process. With a content-forward background, candidates should have experience working cross-functionally across internal teams, and driving programs that have a meaningful customer impact, as well as have the ability to influence Creative & business leaders. A mind for innovation, thinking big, triangulating trends through customer signals and learning through testing will make this role successful. The candidate should be comfortable operating with in a matrix structure, leading by influence and solving hard ambiguous problems. A successful candidate will need to balance audience metrics, customer insights and creative innovation to help delight our customers.
This role will work closely with Prime Video APAC country leaders, global programming teams and content teams for portfolio planning as well as with content programming and scheduling teams for the key locales in the region.

Key job responsibilities
• Serve as a thought leader within the region to shepherd regional portfolio and content programming strategy and optimization frameworks across the full content lifecycle, bridging global and local developments and across multiple content streams (e.g. Originals and Licensed SVOD, Marketplace, AVOD, Sports)
• Represent APAC in global content decisions, including big swing Amazon Original content.
• Run/Co-run our Programming Strategy Monthly Business Review as well as other cross-functional mechanisms, ensuring that our Programming Strategy activities are in line with our goals and maximize global, regional, and local impact across the world.
• Roll-up APAC opportunities with the Global Studio, and identify ways to maximize international content in the region.
• Build durable mechanisms to develop Global or Regional SOPs, tenets, and guidelines related to title release strategy (e.g., day of week, cadence, localization portfolio management, among others).
• Build audience strategy for key customer cohorts (e.g., volume and type of programming needed) and ensure these approaches represent APAC region’s priorities and needs with the global Studio.
• Work cross functionally with Content leaders, Local country programming teams, creative development, content licensing, original production teams, marketing and legal departments to document and define APAC’s release strategy and drive them through execution.
• Track risks/opportunities to the content portfolio as the title mix evolves over time. This is an analytical role that ensures that our investments are put in the right place and develop mitigation strategies when we see risk to our portfolio.
• Stay on top of audience and content trends helping to drive future strategies and content curation choices including the appeal of international content for local customers and APAC-originating content traveling outside and within the region
Qualifications & Experience:
• 12+ years of professional experience
• Experience managing cross-functional teams & stakeholders
• Proven track record in delivering for large digital/media/content businesses. Role criteria: • This is a role that requires an incredibly high-velocity of decision making and getting things rolling amongst a large set of leaders

• Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements.
• The candidate will need to have exemplary communication skills (both written and verbal) to drive strategic content recommendations with other leaders and earn trust with colleagues across the business
