Responsibilities

• Acquire new Chinese book titles
• Responsible for full editorial process from commissioning, manuscript submission to publication
• Perform desk editing and project management for books and journals
• Maintain positive collaborative relationship with all stakeholders
• Provide secretarial support to Chairman
• Handle all Chinese correspondences (emails, phone calls) for Chairman
• Coordinate meetings, appointments, events relating to Chinese Associations and Societies, including setting venues where necessary
• Provide Chinese to English translation and vice versa when required
• Any ad hoc duties when required by the Management.

Requirements

• Good university degree preferably in Chinese studies or in any field.
• Strong organizational skills, meticulous, self-initiative, able to handle multiple priorities.
• Effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin-speaking associates and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as a team player in a dynamic, international environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must have initiative, creativity, and a keen eye for detail.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Prior experience in publishing will be given preference

Job Description

• In charge of overall media production including photography, videography, video editing and media production for social media campaigns and retail store collaterals such as social media feeds, ads, EDM, thumbnail, brochures, etc
• Must be able to conceptualize creative ideas, develop thematic directions, and style all videography/photography work.
• Lead full end to end video production process, include storyboard with marketing team, identify key scenes, timeline, scripting, thumbnail and post production
• Conduct video, photoshoot, live stream for products, retail stores or events.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties, projects, and initiatives as assigned and when required.

Job Requirement

• Highly creative, strong fashion sense with an eye for aesthetic standards, meticulous and adventurous, high personal standard
• Must be able to prioritize, multi-task and work under tight deadlines in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in videography and photography
• Have proven track record in photography and film video editing especially in social media
• Proficient in Video Editing Software, Adobe Creative Cloud (i.e. Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop)
• Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Art/Design/Creative Multimedia or equivalent
• Portfolio for Past Work Experience is a must

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage day-to-day video production tasks while creating advertising content for social media platforms and websites.

* Develop and execute social media calendars and posts, ensuring consistent, engaging, and on-brand video content.

* Produce online video advertisements for a range of products and brands, from initial storyboard creation to final editing.

* Conceptualize, plan, and optimize video assets to maximize engagement and reach across multiple digital platforms.

* Provide hands-on support throughout the pre-production, production, and post-production phases, including filming, directing, and editing.

* Utilize modern editing techniques to manipulate, trim, and enhance video footage with dialogue, sound effects, music, graphics, and special effects.

* Ensure each video follows a logical sequence, effectively delivering brand messages and showcasing product features.

* Craft the final cut for broadcast, maintaining the highest standards of quality and ensuring alignment with brand objectives.

Requirements:

* Enthusiastic and dedicated to staying up-to-date with the latest video trends, demonstrating a passion for innovation and creativity.

* Experience in managing video content across various social media platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.

* Ability to adapt to tight schedules, working efficiently and effectively under pressure.

* Proficient in video shooting and editing, with expertise in software such as DaVinci Resolve.

* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with an ability to work closely with clients and internal teams.

* Attention to detail and a creative mindset for producing visually appealing, high-quality content.

* Ability to commit to weekend work if necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Previous experience in a similar role within a fast-paced environment.

* Knowledge of motion graphics and animation is a plus.

* Familiarity with Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, and other related software is also a plus.
