Digital Art Director

Responsibilities

• To generate exciting ideas to fulfil clients’ briefs and to engage in executing layout designs for art work and copy
• Independently oversee a project cycle; from conceptual to production
• Meets art department work standards by following production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving operational problems; identifying work process improvements
• Produces illustrative material by assigning layout design concept to artists and photographers; directing development of design concepts into art layouts
• Prepares layouts for printing by marking-up, pasting-up, and finishing layouts
• Have a positive attitude towards collaborating with team members and other stakeholders to participate in pitches
• Competent in bringing the ideas to life visually
• Ensuring a high standard of visual execution across all media and campaigns

Requirements

• Candidates should possess about 3 years of relevant experience with an integrated portfolio
• An excellent team player and to be able to work well with front-end/back-end programmers
• Possess a good eye for craft with the ability to work independently
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Strong production knowledge in TV, Print and Digital

- Organize and manage rehersals, ensuring that singer/actors and crew are aware of schedules and changes

- Managing the whole stage performance and planning

- Call cues for lighting, sounds, props and scenechanges during performance, ensuring precise timing

The art director supervises the creative processes of design projects across all channels, consumer touch points and ensure they are in line with clients’ brand architecture.

Roles and Responsibilities 1 – Art Direction

Brainstorm and conceptualise ideas with the creative team to solve clients’ business problems

Understand the marketing objectives and communicate the intended message through art direction

Create key visuals through digital manipulation of original photographs or stock images

Experience in websites, landing pages, digital banners, and social media, eDM, KV, and digital know-how for event and conference

Adhere to brand guidelines to ensure consistent branding and user experience across multiple touchpoints

Work with front end developers in ensuring web and mobile sites are executed as planned

Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes

Campaign-level thinking, and is attentive to the minute details of each artwork at the same time

Outstanding in art direction and design

Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, XD, and Google Slides. Knowledge in Adobe After Effects, Premiere, or Cinema4D is an advantage

Highly responsible and able to work under pressure

Meticulous with the quality of work delivered

Strong visualisation skills with a keen eye for design and layout

Qualifications and Experience

Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications or its equivalent

At least 3-5 years of experience in the creative industry

• You are a designer or art director who is outstanding in typography, editorial layout, crafting and graphic design with a good eye for aesthetic.
• Fast and yet meticulous, you are expected to work under relatively tight deadlines.
• You must love the challenge of winning pitches while handling the day-to-day works of our existing clients.
• Experienced working on property, automotive, financial, government and FMCG accounts will be ideal but not compulsory.
• A minimum 2 years experience in a digital, design, creative and/or advertising agency is preferred.
