We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor who thrives in a challenging, high-pressure environment. This role requires working long hours, including weekends and public holidays, to meet tight deadlines. The successful candidate will handle a massive workload independently with minimal support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets with tight timelines.
- Manage contracts, including constant renegotiations and resolving disputes under high stress.
- Conduct frequent site visits, regardless of weather conditions or safety concerns.
- Handle repetitive administrative tasks and endless documentation.
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders who frequently change their requirements and expectations.
- Ensure adherence to ambiguous regulations with little guidance.
Requirements:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in projects with unreasonable constraints.
- Proficiency in using outdated software and tools provided by the company.
- Strong interpersonal skills to deal with difficult clients and colleagues.
- The ability to work under constant criticism while maintaining perfect accuracy.
