Responsibilities:

· Enhancing and maintaining components in a comprehensive environment for systematic trading of risk. Components are built using modern C++ and python along with integration with q/kdb+ for analytics and user interfaces for command and control

· Analyzing business requirements with the Equity LOB, forming an architectural design, core development, and testing of low latency C++ components for activities such as market making

· Collaborating closely with our Site Reliability Engineering group to achieve industry leading reliability and scalability

· Extensive experience in C++ development on Linux

· Deep understanding of building quantitative Electronic Trading applications, with specific exposure to automated on-exchange market making preferred

· Automation first mindset across the software development lifecycle, particularly around shift-left testing

· Familiarity with Agile software development and associated best practices

· Enthusiastic, strong-minded person able to work closely with project teams in a multi-faceted role and help instill a responsible and professional culture
Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical partners

Skills and Experience

· Knowledge of Equities/Futures/Options/FX asset classes and algorithmic trading of these products

· Practical exposure to python development

· Familiarity with regulatory requirements for trading in APAC markets

· Working knowledge in architecting applications for Cloud and/or Containerized Environments

Responsibilities

• Responsible for assisting in the functional and non-functional requirements gathering, design, architecture, specification, documentation, delivery and continued maintenance / support of automated pricing and trading algorithms, models and controls which further the business and risk management objectives.
• Responsible for working together with colleagues in ATQ and IT (including those in BA, PM, Dev, QA and RM roles) in order to achieve the above.
• Responsible for ongoing monitoring of system performance and data mining to identify shortcomings / opportunities for improvement.
• Consulted on models and algorithms developed by others in FX E-Trading.
• Ensure adherence to all internal and external regulations
• Ensure adherence to internal standards and processes, including, but not limited to, the System Delivery Framework and Technology Delivery Assurance.
• Ensure that the business meets its obligations the prevention of money laundering under the Group Policy and Standards and under local laws and regulations
• Ensure that there are appropriate and documented internal controls and procedures in place.
• Monitor the operation of such procedures and controls and regularly review them to ensure that they reflect any changes in products, systems, policy and regulations

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in core java engineering role and E trading experience would be advantageous
• Experience in software development & high volume, low latency environments
