Site Manager

Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations and performance of our construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to managing construction site activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, lead, and monitor construction progress, ensuring alignment with the overall project plan.
• Oversee daily operational aspects of the project, including manpower planning, progress tracking, master schedule preparation, and cost control.
• Address and resolve site challenges such as delays, adverse weather conditions, or emergencies effectively.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and relevant authorities to resolve site issues promptly.
• Implement and enforce safe, efficient, and cost-effective construction methodologies, ensuring compliance with project standards.

Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in project or site management within the construction industry.
• Proven track record of managing construction site operations effectively.
• Possess a valid driver’s license, with the ability to travel to various sites as needed.
• Independent, diligent, and meticulous professional with a strong sense of responsibility and teamwork.
• Highly motivated individual with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Job Description

• Lead Project planning and project management.

Oversee project execution, monitor site progress

and ensure on-time completion of projects

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and latest

WSH Act provisions at all times

• Ensure cost control and project completion within

budget, utilization of resources and schedule

• Liaise with client's representatives with regards to all

site matters, attend site meeting if required.

• Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate

personnel.

• Recognize and solve potential problems and

evaluate project/program effectiveness.

• To lead and mentor the team by setting in place

guidelines and procedures, providing advice and

supervision

• Identify and resolve operational problems and

minimize delays

• Ensure that organization and government standards

on safety are met and ensure customer safety and

quality specifications are consistently met

• Coordinate with the clients, sub-contractors and

consultants on all project matters

• Familiar with Authority submissions and regulatory

requirements

• Ensure site team of engineers, supervisors, foremen

and workers comply with client and regulatory

requirements

• To assist management in monitoring the

effectiveness of the risk control measures

• To recommend appropriate risk control measures to

reduce or eliminate the risk identified assessment

• Together with QS department to award sub

contractor

• Assist in ac-hoc tender for technical proposal

submission

• All other ad hoc duties assigned

Job Requirement

• Diploma/ Degree in Civil Engineering / Architecture

or equivalent

• Good communication and organizational skills

• Able to work independently with minimum

supervision as well as in a team environment

• Able to work under pressure with high initiative and

meeting timelines

• At least 1-3 years of relevant experience in

Construction Industry

• Able Understand & doing AutoCAD Drawing

Others:

• 5.5 Working days per week

• 9am – 6pm

• To manage and handle day-to-day operation of the Contracts / Tender, Pre & Post department.
• Manpower planning and allocation/assignment of staff to various projects.
• Lead a team of QS and guide them towards achieving the expected project delivery in accordance with the respective project’s requirements.
• Familiar with PSSCOC, REDAS, SIA contractual legislations, and SOP Act
• Lead in notification on the extension of time, contractual claims, variations, and any related loss and expense claims to the client and/or assessing and reviewing of extension of time, variations, and any related loss and expense claims by sub-contractors
• Able to deal with disputes arises from project execution amicably with the relevant internal and external stakeholders
• Provide procurement strategies and advise the key points of cost control in sub-contracting and potential variation orders to ensure provisions are catered for within cost and time.
• Advice on negotiating contract terms and conditions with subcontractors/suppliers
• Review, draft and prepare Sub-consultancy Agreement for the employment of Sub-Consultant by the company.
• A good team player whom is able to perform contracts management duties and support the project managers in areas including contracts management, preparation and evaluation of tenders.
• Estimate and formulate Construction cost – able to perform measurement to derive the quantity of works and provide budgetary/detailed construction cost.

Requirements:

Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in Senior QS function / mangerial role
