Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Management:Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure clarity, completeness, and adherence to company policies.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with contracts, ensuring that terms and conditions are favorable to the company.
Administer and manage contractual obligations, tracking deliverables, milestones, and compliance with project requirements.
- Project Support:Collaborate with project teams to address contract-related issues and provide legal guidance throughout project lifecycles.
Assess claims and variations, prepare recommendations, and manage resolutions in line with contractual terms.
Ensure all project documentation is up-to-date, compliant, and accessible, including records of contract changes and amendments.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation:Conduct risk assessments and implement risk management strategies, ensuring legal and financial safeguards are in place.
Assist in dispute resolution and manage contract-related claims, including preparing supporting documentation for arbitration or litigation if required.
- Compliance and Reporting:Ensure compliance with industry regulations, statutory requirements, and internal policies.
Prepare and present regular reports on contract status, risks, and compliance issues to Senior Legal Counsel and executive leadership.
- Stakeholder Management:Maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all contract-related queries, providing support and clarity to stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in contract management, particularly with A1 contractors on industrial and manufacturing projects.
