JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Meeting clients to determine their needs and discuss any areas that need revising for price or feasibility.

2. Manages and prepares all the cost estimates/quotation for the renovation projects include material quantities and labour costs.

3. Keeps track of the progression of the contract with regards to any variations order.

4. Monitoring subcontractors, safety practices, construction progress and material needs, including any changes which may impact costs.

5. Advising clients and crew on legal matters and disputes.

6. Prepare and submission documentation before commencement of renovation works.

7. Identifying and weighing up commercial risks.

8. Valuing completed work, managing budgets and overseeing payments.

9. Ensuring projects meet legal and quality standards.

10. Documenting any changes in design and updating budgets.

11. Other duties assigned by the management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

1. Minimum Diploma in Civil Engineering / Building / Quantity Surveying or equivalent.

2. Minimum 3 years of relevant work in interior design/joinery carpentry sector.

3. Proficient in MS Office.

4. Able to handle Auto-CAD drawings.

5. Proven ability in contract negotiation, contract administration & variation orders.

6. Able to work independently, be meticulous, analytical with excellent problem-solving skills, proactive & able to meet tight deadlines.

7. Willing to site visit if needed.

8. Bilingual in English and Chinese in order to liaise with Mandarin speaking associates.

Our client is in construction industry (Grade A1 Contractor/ Class 1 General Builder) and they provide full suite of integrated construction services and solutions in both the public and private sectors.

JOB DIMENSION (SCOPE)

• Manage all aspects of the construction execution; from site preparations to build-out, are carried out in accordance with the project timelines and specs.
• Ensure that the construction, installation and assembly of components, equipment and systems of the construction is aligned with the construction plans and drawing designs.
• Prepare construction progress reports based on contractual terms on time, cost and quality.
• Document action items and follow-ups from project meetings
• Liaise with clients for site inspections, submission of necessary technical reports, and maintain all required records at the sites.
• Drive safety and sustainability.

REQUIREMENT

• Possess a Degree in Civil Engineering/Structural Engineering, or equivalent
• Experience in building (hotel/ commercial) project is preferred
• Must be technically inclined and possesses excellent problem-solving.
• Be able to work independently as well as acquiring good interpersonal skills to coordinate between the various disciplines and construction teams.
• Candidate can start work in short notice is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and detailed take-offs of all quantities required.
• Seek and negotiate with suppliers and contractors for the best prices and terms to ensure cost efficiency
• and project profitability
• Compile and submit quotations for projects, including all necessary materials and services.
• Oversee and manage the preparation of tender documents, including ensuring compliance with all
• regulations and standards.
• Evaluate and analyze tender submissions, including conducting site visits.
• Participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Carry out awarding of contract.
• Accurately certify and validate progress claims submitted by contractors.
• Take responsibility for managing the final account.
• Prepare quotations for additional works and services that may be required during the construction
• process.
• Other ad hoc tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

• Min Diploma, Degree or Higher in Architecture, Quantity Survey, Real Estate, Building.
• With 4-6 years of relevant working experience in a similar industry.
