The primary role of a Design Manager is to manage all design work required during construction projects. This includes overseeing the production of technical drawings and plans used to build a structure. You ensure that all designs are produced on time and to a high quality and that they are coordinated with the work of architects, engineers and technicians. You also oversee the design process using technical expertise to ensure that designs meet the client’s expectations.

The Micron F10 Construction Senior Manager is responsible for the construction of Micron Singapore’s manufacturing and cleanroom projects. This person will work with a team of specialized third party builders and engineers in a highly collaborative environment. This job will require this person to work together with our factory, operations, and supply chain partners to deliver some of the most technically challenging projects in the world with demanding schedule and cost constraints.

The Construction Senior Manager provide project leadership for design execution of the build plan. The manager will work closely with the Design Senior Manager to ensure development of more detailed scope through field walks and collaboration with facilities operations partners and project engineers. During detailed design and construction performed by the general contractor, the Construction Senior Manager serve as the Owner's representative to provide input on buildability and sequence of construction.

As a Construction Senior Manager - your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for the supervision of all construction for all Micron’s Singapore major manufacturing and cleanroom projects.
• Provide project leadership for construction execution.
• Assemble a team of engineering specialists for smooth project execution.
• Work closely with the design team as they develop more detailed scope through field walks and collaboration with facilities operations partners and project engineers.
• Serve as the Owner's representative to provide issue resolution for construction and design conflicts.
• Be the primary leader who manage overall project scope, schedule, and cost of engineering.
• Interface and coordinate with contract design, construction, scheduling, and estimating resources.
• Interface with facilities staff and project managers.
• Work closely with the design team and the effort of engineers who define design criteria, lead scope definition and justification, and develop design concepts.
• Oversee completion of positioning, programming and detailed design.
• Work with estimators to ensure costs are captured and project budgets are met.
• Ensure implementation of change control process to improve standards and drive innovative solutions.

Requirements :

The candidate must possess :

• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering related field with 8+ years of experience in Facilities in a Front End Semiconductor Manufacturing environment
• Experience in operations and maintenance in Facilities will be an advantage

Working Location : F10N

Manages the design, planning, construction and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities. Plans, budgets, and schedules facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials and other related costs. Designs and develops organizational policies relevant to the facilities department. Oversees the coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services and facilities expansion. May have responsibility for establishing and overseeing health and safety standards. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

• Manage and coordinate all aspects of construction projects, including planning, design, procurement, construction, and close-out.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and other relevant laws and regulations.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and take corrective action as needed.
• Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
• Coordinate with internal teams, such as procurement, logistics, and finance, to ensure seamless project execution.
• Identify and mitigate risks, and develop contingency plans to address unexpected issues.
• Ensure that projects are completed to the highest quality standards, meeting client expectations and industry benchmarks.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.

• At least 2 years and above on experience in commercial renovation works
• Able to prepare tender document for Design & Build project. BQ, Tender specification, Form of Tender, Drawings (by Designer)
• Able to quantity take off for multiple projects fast and accurately
• Able to source for materials, procure and deliver
• Able to source for new material, new suppliers and sub-contractors when required
• Able to perform site measurement & inspection with sub-contractor to certify work done to date
• Able to communicate fluently with client’s representative, landlord and authorities
• Experience in material market rate
• Experience in all installation market rate
• Good in negotiating prices
• Experience in F&B tender will be an added advantage

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day operations on the construction site.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, laborers, and other construction staff.
• Ensure project timelines are met and manage any delays or issues that arise.
• Monitor and enforce site safety regulations and compliance with local building codes.
• Maintain communication with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Review project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise on-site.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years experience as a Construction Site Manager or similar role.
• Well-versed in understanding and application of electrical codes and standards including Singapore Standards, IEC, IEEE, etc

Skills / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Masters in a Construction, Building, Project Management, Engineering or Architecture related field.
• Suitable candidates are likely to have a minimum of 15 years working experience consist of 10 years of experience in base build, Tool Install, Progressive Build Experience in greenfield and brownfield settings
• Off-site manufacturing expertise (OSM)
• Professional certifications in construction management (e.g., CMP, FMDP)
• Experience as a construction project management in EPCM project.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel on a regular basis

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the bidding information collection
• Prepare all bill of quantity for the whole project and vendor report
• Prepare monthly progress report and progress claim to Consultant
• Call for supplier/subcontractor quotation and compare with tender details
• Verify subscontractors' and suppliers' claim and prepare interim payment certificate
• Responsible for the quality/accordance to the specification of the works
• Check all new drawings for variations works
• Reponsible for collecting, sorting and checking of bidding calculation of quantities
• Organize subcontract price and negotiations
• Compile bidding quotations and submit to department manager to review
• Perform all other duties or tasks as assigned by immediate superiors
