We are looking for a skilled Electrical/Mechanical Quantity Surveyor to join our team in the M&E construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong industry network with sub-contractors, vendors, and equipment suppliers, along with a solid understanding of market price trends. This role involves managing tender processes for ACMV and electrical systems, ensuring accurate cost estimation and compliance with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer ACMV and electrical tenders, ensuring compliance with tendering procedures and specifications.
- Prepare and analyze tender documentation, including Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and cost estimates.
- Collaborate with project teams to develop competitive pricing strategies for tenders.
- Conduct thorough cost analyses for electrical and mechanical projects, utilizing up-to-date knowledge of market price trends.
- Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and ensure accurate forecasting of project expenses.
- Liaise with sub-contractors and suppliers to gather pricing information and validate costs.
- Maintain a strong network with sub-contractors, vendors, and equipment suppliers to ensure access to competitive pricing and quality resources.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders in the industry to facilitate project success.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all tender submissions, cost estimates, and correspondence with suppliers and sub-contractors.
- Prepare regular reports on project costs, pricing trends, and market conditions for management review.
- Ensure that all tender submissions comply with relevant regulations, standards, and project specifications.
- Review and assess project documents to identify discrepancies and recommend solutions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience in the M&E construction industry.
- Proven experience in managing ACMV and electrical tender processes.
- Strong understanding of cost estimation, budgeting, and financial management in construction projects.
- Proficient in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and conducting market analysis.
