Quantity Surveyor

• Secure new contracts / projects, administer all project contracts
• Prepare tender and contract documents including bills of quantities;

• Execute procurement strategy and propose refinements / improvements;
• Identify, analyze and develop responses to commercial risks;

Project Engineer

• Coordinate with clients / main contractor, architect, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors;
• Conduct preliminary surveys of the construction site;
• Responsible for submission of technical drawings, work schedules and samples for clients / main contractor's approval;
• Undertake structural analysis, calculations and prepare design sketches and drawings indicating arrangement and design intent for a variety of building structures;
• Review and check shop drawings and built drawings;
• Attend site meetings with owners / subcontractors;
• Responsible for overall aspects of the management of subcontractors;
• Plan, work, schedule and delivery of equipment and materials to site;
• Responsible for monthly progress claims and project costing;

• Ensure that all formalities such as permits and clearances are obtained from respective government agencies;

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Preferably Degree in Quantity Surveying or Engineering (Civil / Structural / Construction)
• Process relevant skills in MS Office, AutoCad, Microsoft Project
• At least 3 years working experience in the related field preferably min. 2 years experience in Building Construction specializing in Quantity Surveying or Engineering in Civil / Construction / Structural
• Good communication skills in both oral and written English and has the ability to liaise effectively with other professionals, e.g. clients / developers, main contractors, construction managers, quantity surveyors, subcontractors, architects, designers, other engineers, consultants, suppliers, etc.

We are seeking a highly experienced Quantity Surveyor (QS) with extensive knowledge of Singapore's tender platforms and submission methods. Key Responsibilities:

Expertise in tender platforms and submission processes, ensuring tenders are accurately quoted and submitted based on company strengths and tender requirements.

Attend tender site briefings, preparing quotations that align with project specifications and client expectations.

Design solutions according to client expectations and ensure they are reflected in tender submissions.

Organize and present post-tender clarification meetings, preparing responses and managing client queries.

Submit required tender documents, including organizational charts and project track records.

Conduct online presentations using PowerPoint and other relevant tools, and manage virtual meetings effectively.

Develop and manage project master programs and independently prepare and submit all required client documentation for awarded projects.

Pre- and post-tender, ensure full compliance with all authority requirements, including NEA, PUB, LTA, MOM, SP, and N-Parks.

Understand project requirements and prepare 3D detailed drawings and space planning using AutoCAD.

Complete assigned work within deadlines, maintaining high standards of quality.

Responsibilities:
1. Oversee end-to-end project management for module construction, network setup, cabinet renovation, decommissioning, and miscellaneous cabling projects. Coordinate closely with the TPM (Technical Project Management) team and local operations teams to ensure timely project delivery.
2. Inspect and report on the progress of civil and infrastructure works at IDC (Internet Data Center) sites according to TPM requirements.
3. Manage project scope within a designated location, covering, but not limited to, preliminary project site surveys, logistics coordination, on-site cabling management, and network integration to ensure overall project timeliness and quality. During the project, you may need to participate in on-site engineering tasks for a certain duration.
4. Oversee project construction management across all data center locations within the region. Standard work hours are 5 days a week, 8 hours per day, with occasional short-term overtime due to project demands or unexpected situations.
5. Complete onboarding training, with a 3-6 month on-the-job training period after joining. Afterward, you will be responsible for managing all projects in the assigned area in cooperation with the Alibaba TPM team.

Qualifications:
1. Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
2. Over 3 years of experience in data center construction or on-site operations; prior experience with Alibaba Data Centers is preferred.
3. Project management experience; PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
4. IT background with familiarity in network architecture, servers, and fiber optics is preferred.
5. Fluency in both English and Chinese; proficiency in the local language is advantageous.
6. Willingness to commute to multiple sites within the region; a local driver’s license is preferred.
