• Manage any conflicts between the various parties
• Manage and execute the site works and plans at the yard and ensure that the technicalities of construction requirements and standards are adhered to. Coordinates all project installation engineering between designs/engineering, material procurement, load out design and transportation of line pipe and offshore installation activities. Responsible for the successful delivery of yard project scope within specified quality standards, time and budget.
• Work closely with the Project Manager (PM) by updating progress reports
• Scheduling and Cost Management by ensuring construction & installation progress on schedule and within prescribed budget.
• Undertake the lead role in managing and monitoring the assigned site fabricator in ensuring that its resources, compliance, deliverables are executed according to the contractual scope.

• Manage and prepare all contract documentation and schedules, as well as providing support in the estimation of project costs, preparation of specifications, bills of quantities and other tender requirements;
• Have strong knowledge in the market's demands and pricings;
• Review evaluation of variation order request, variation orders, defending claims and providing contractual advice to site team;
• Monitoring contracts and negotiation of final account settlement, drafting settlement agreement, claims for additional payment and EOT;
• Ensure commercial and contractual correspondence with clients are efficiently handled and filed;
• Manage resolution of contractual claims of a wide variety of projects from pre-tender to post-contract stages;
• Support and advise the project team on cost and contractual issues for main contract and subcontracts;
• Liaise with Project Team members to ensure commitments and milestones of subcontracts are achieved and adhered to;
• Possess a Degree or Diploma in Building/ Quantity Surveying/Building or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in Singapore building construction industry
• 5.5 days work week

Roles and responsibilities

The Project Manager oversees the planning and all project operations. He/She manages the progress of the project and ensures quality and timely delivery. The Project Manager will be required to travel to project sites. He/She must have good communication skills to liaise with the various stakeholders.

- Coordinate with relevant parties to manage progress of the project to meet project schedule.

- Lead team to manage project operations, schedule and specifications.

- Manage operational costs to keep costs within the budget.

- Manage site document filing and record keeping in accordance with International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) standards.

- To develop new, site-specific and technical solutions.

- Monitor compliance of work with the workplace safety and health regulations.-~ Monitor quality of project delivery to make sure they meet project requirements and regulations.

- Familiar with performance targets and responsible for achieving and completing all performance targets to meet completion schedule in terms of costs, performance, time and quality.

- Liaise and co-ordinate with Construction team, technical and commercial team at headquarters in Germany and the client.

Qualification

- Degree in Civil Engineering or related disciplines

Requirements

- Min 8 to 10 years of experience in similar capacity with extensive knowledge in steel, glass and building envelopes.

- Must have the competency to manage and lead project team.

- Solid financial know-how, craftsmanship and a strong awareness of costs.

- Experience in the field of technical building services would be an advantage.

- Security clearance according to the guidelines Ü2 of the German Foreign Office.

- Able to communicate effectively with good interpersonal skills.

- Very good German language skills (level C1) required.
