Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager for our expanding construction team. The candidate will be responsible for the overall construction on the interior project assigned and co-ordination of the various stakeholders from clients to the various sub trade works. The successful candidate must possess the knowledge and experience to lead and engage with design professionals, consultants, clients while successfully directing the site team and other construction related personnel in planning, coordinating and safely executing the work in accordance with the contract documents, schedule and project budget.

Construction Project Manager Duties and Responsibilities
- Preparation of the project schedule.
- Review the project plans and specifications and highlight/ identify on the building design, scheduling, risks, possible cost savings measures and potential construction problems.
- Assist and guide Quantity surveyor team in preparation of project budget.
- Preparation and set out the general conditions of project drawdown/ forecast and budget summaries for review.
- Assist in setting up required site office and equipments required.
- Ability to intelligently communicate with desig team/client as well as effectively lead the various trades of works.
- Expedite and co-ordinate with the drawing team on shopdrawings submission and approvals.
- Monitor and maintain the project construction schedule on a weekly basis.
- Organise, Lead and chair technical site meeting
- Raise and discuss relevant issues at the job site meetings. Prepare and issue minutes of all site meetings
- Inform the consultant/client of any errors, discrepancies or omissions on design drawings.
- Co-ordinate and liase with sub trades/ contractors and vendors for submissions and execution of site works.
- Define clear roles & responsibilities and deliverable requirements in terms of both scope and schedule to all the team members.
- Maintain change order log and informed necessary parties of potential variations.
- Monitor site safety and ensure that the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act are enforced and adhere to.
- Ensure completion of and track all independent testing and inspections as required.
- Issue monthly progress claims and invoicing to clients.
- Maintain and enforce good construction standards and quality control.
- Ensure relevant authorities submissions are made based on project requirements and needs
- Ensure that ‘as-built’ drawings and OMM are prepared on an ongoing basis by all trades during the construction perios and issue final close-out to consultants/ clients accordingly.
- Prepare and expedite on project defects lists.
Project Management Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Project Manager on interior fit out for commercial, hospitality, education, institution or industrial projects.
- Degree in construction related field.
- Proficient understanding of construction terms, scheduling and planning concepts of trade works and project sequencing.
- Proficient in Microsoft office suites.
- Excellent organizational, presentation and interpersonal skills.
