Job Description & Requirements

• Loyang (Company bus Sengkang, Punggol, Tampines, Pasir Ris)
• Mon-Fri / 9am-6pm
• Open for zero of experience (training will be provided)

Responsibilities

• To assist Radio Surveyor, carry out VDR/SVDR annual performance tests and statutory safety radio survey on board ships.
• Update international convention regulations and International Maritime Organization (IMO) requirements.
• Maintain survey checklists issued by classification bodies.
• Identify nature of survey and monitor daily statutory survey activities.
• Prepare survey report and submit to relevant classification authority.
• Record any non-conformities of equipment in the survey report.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the superior.
• To obtain General Operators Certificate (GOC).

Compliance

• With company and Classification Bodies/Authorities Code of Conduct
• Conduct statutory survey in accordance with international safety of life at sea (SOLAS) convention, Mobile Offshore Drilling Units (MODU) code, High-Speed Craft (HSC) code and the Merchant Shipping Acts.

Requirements

• Technical knowledge in GMDSS & VDR/SVDR system.
• Minimum two years relevant experience.

Role Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Interpretation: Analyze and interpret data from various sources (e.g., URA, HDB, PropertyGuru) to generate insights and reports that inform business decisions.
• Forecasting: Develop market forecasts, identifying potential investment opportunities, pricing strategies, and growth sectors.
• Competitive Analysis: Monitor competitor activities, products, and pricing strategies, providing insights that can be used to refine Hippo Prop’s competitive positioning.
• Client Advisory: Provide agents and property buyers with accurate data insights, reports, and presentations that enhance their understanding of the property market.
• Strategy Support: Collaborate with marketing, sales, and management teams to refine strategies based on market data, helping to align business goals with market realities.
• Reporting: Prepare regular reports, dashboards, and presentations that track market performance and support strategic initiatives.
• Trend Spotting: Stay up-to-date with economic indicators, demographic shifts, and other factors influencing the property market, offering timely insights.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: At least 3 years of experience in property analysis, real estate consultancy, or a related field.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities, with proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Tableau, or other business intelligence software.
• Research Skills: Ability to conduct thorough research, interpret complex data, and present findings in a clear and actionable format.
• Market Knowledge: Solid understanding of the Singapore property market, including residential, commercial, and HDB sectors.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Detail-Oriented: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring all data is precise, relevant, and actionable.
• Adaptability: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changing market conditions and business needs.

My Client is a global hedge fund and we are looking for a Quant Risk Analyst to join the team in Singapore. You will be working with stakeholders globally and you will be given the opportunity to scale your career in a leading brand within the industry

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement risk management strategies and frameworks to identify, measure, and monitor macro risk
• Conduct in-depth analysis of trading portfolios, performance attribution, and risk exposures.
• Collaborate with portfolio managers, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure risk management practices align with investment objectives.
• Evaluate and enhance investment performance measurement methodologies, including benchmark selection, calculation, and reporting.

You must:

• A bachelors degree in a reputable university
• At least 2 years of experience in a Quant Risk role – strong in macro products
• Strong in Python, SQL, C++ etc
• Ideally with working experience in a hedge fund
• Ability to work independently in a lean team
