Reporting to the CFO and Head of Investments and Investor Relations, this is a newly created head count to support their on-going investment mandates internationally as well as BAU tax compliance matters.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible to conduct research to advise management on tax implications of cross-border transactions and/or transfer pricing and planning for tax efficient profit repatriation and assist in tax efficient structuring of acquisitions and divestment of real estate properties.

You will prepare and file ECI, corporate tax returns, and computations to tax authorities, handle and strategize replies to queries from tax authorities, verify tax authorities’ tax assessments and objects to tax assessments (where applicable) and follow through tax issues with outsourced tax consultant.

Requirements

You possess a Degree in Accountancy or ACCA / CPA qualification or equivalent with at least 7 years of relevant experience gained in a Big 4 accounting firm or a large organization with in-house tax function, preferably with exposure to the real estate and hospitality sectors. You can work independently, under pressure in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Required to manage a full spectrum of corporate secretarial work for the group, including coordination and facilitating quarterly board meetings, minutes writing and resolution, and providing advice and support to board members.
• Convening and servicing Annual General Meeting, producing agendas and recording of the proceedings.
• Ensure that the statutory records of a group of companies in Singapore are updated and maintained on time.
• Administrate an online board portal for conducting meetings for Board members and organise director training, where appropriate.

• Maintain Group Secretary profile with the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority and perform lodgements on BizFile+.
• Coordinate with various parties on producing the Annual Report and Sustainability Report, including drafting, where necessary.
• Manage, update and maintain the Company’s corporate website.
• Liaise with corporate service providers, auditors, lawyers, joint venture partners and other external parties
• Support Management and Board members in all aspects of corporate secretarial and compliance and handle ad-hoc projects assigned from time to time.

Requirements:

• Possess a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and an Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) qualification.
• At least 8 years of experience managing corporate secretarial matters in a listed entity.
• Good knowledge of the Singapore Companies Act 1967 and SGX Listing Rules.
• Bilingual with strong written and verbal communication skills.
