The Role

The role of an Aviation Surveyor investigates and reports upon Aviation incidents for and on behalf of Aviation Insurers and provides technical services.

Charles Taylor Singapore offers hybrid working and a fantastic newly renovated office environment in the CBD.Candidates who are not currently based in Singapore, and are open to relocating, may be considered.

Key Responsibilities

· Receipt of new claim instructions and initiating claims handling procedures.

· Attendance at incident site (where applicable) to complete a thorough investigation of loss circumstances and damages sustained.

· Liaison with official accident investigation agencies (governmental and/or commercial) and other agencies including airport authorities, landowners, etc.

· Evaluation and assessment of all elements which may impact upon Underwriters’ potential exposure under the Policy of Insurance.

· Regular liaison and reporting to Underwriters and other insurance practitioners regarding circumstances, damage, costs and cause of loss, including detailed assessment and reporting of settlement options and recommendations.

· Regular liaison with Insured to progress claims settlement.

· Liaison and negotiation with prospective repair agents, manufacturers, third party claimants in respect of recovery, damage, repair workscopes, cost estimates.

· Approval of cost estimates and final invoices.

· Provision of technical advice to in-house liability team, external lawyers in respect of liability and/or subrogation issues.

· Where necessary to act as expert witness in litigation/enquiries.

· Provision of general advice and assistance to Underwriters in respect of interpretation of policy conditions.

· Supervision and disposal of salvage and site clearance.

· Provision of ad-hoc technical advice and expertise to Aviation insurance market.

· Provision of aircraft technical assessment and valuation services to the Aviation market

· Provision of risk assessment service

· Ad Hoc duties: Your key accountabilities will include such other duties and tasks are as allocated to you at the discretion of management and that are within your capabilities and within the scope of your role.

Qualifications

· Diploma / Degree / Certificate Holder in Aero skills / Aeronautical Engineering / Aircraft Maintenance or similar

· Holder of an EASA (or equivalent) aircraft maintenance engineers licence with at least 10 year’s working experience.

Technical Skills and Experience

· International / global experience of hands-on aircraft maintenance and repair across multiple countries and jurisdictions.

· Strong Aerospace engineering background, both technical and managerial.

· Experience of aircraft structural repairs on large commercial, business or general aviation aircraft, ideally including helicopters.

· Previous adjusting or surveying experience would be desirable.

Required Skills

· Possess first-class English communication skills with a confident and personable demeanour.

· Impeccable fluency in written English is required to prepare both technical and non-technical reports.

· Overseas work experience and the ability to speak a second language would be beneficial.

· Able to travel overseas frequently, and often at short notice.

· Able to work autonomously as well as part of a team.

IT Executive (Marine Construction / CompTIA / A+ / MCTS / Up to $3500)

Job scope

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware, including printers, computers, projectors and other IT Peripherals.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues, Microsoft Office, HR and Accounts Software applications, Adobe etc
• Communicate with IT vendors for the maintenance and software license expiration
• Liaise and negotiate with vendors on purchasing of office technical equipment, software required
• Manage IT security such as installation and maintaining Anti-Virus for all desktops/laptops or IT devices and perform weekly data backup for all servers.
• Create LAN Network and assign IP address when necessary
• Provide Helpdesk support for all users
• Cloning image and Setting up of new PCs / Notebooks such as creating email account, mailbox setup etc.
• Assist in setting up of CCTVs images in office premises and end users
• Good technical knowledge of the latest operating systems & network protocols.
• Performing any other IT related duties (e.g. updating of company website)
• Maintaining Software & Hardware Inventory and Proper Documentation
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Role:

Site Engineer (Construction / AutoCAD / Up to $4500)

• Participate in project design meetings and propose improvements if necessary
