- Positioning of the marine piles and concrete precast vertical walls in marine construction.

- Understand and read the engineering drawings and work out the setting out coordinates.

- Manage the land surveying work schedule and carry out the setting out accordance with engineering drawing to be utilized by construction project team.

- Manage and maintain survey instruments, survey data and records for reporting.

- Maintain surveying equipment in good condition and arrange for regular calibration of surveying equipment.

- Understand the Singapore Plane Coordinate System and coordinates transformation.

- Understand the Singapore Height Datum and Datum transformation.

- Liaise with Registered Surveyors for pre-computation plan drawing and as-built survey.

- Positively work with management and operation team.

Job Requirements

- Diploma in Land Surveying, Geomatics, Building, Civil Engineering or equivalent recognized by SISV.

- Preferably 2 to 3 years’ surveying experience in Reclamation, Marine Construction and Civil Engineering works.

- Fast learning and understand the process of marine construction.

- Leadership and coordination skill.

- Competent in Microsoft Excel, Words and AutoCad add advantage.

- 5.5 days working week.

Responsibilities:

• Measure and prepare tender documentation and negotiate with contractors
• Source quotation, liaise and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers
• Work closely with the project team to estimate cost and quantity take-off
• Manage on project budget to ensure not exceeding allowable budget
• Preparing safety documentation for submission
• Assist in pre-contract and post-contract of projects
• Deal with significant contractual issues including extension of time, loss and expense claims, terms and conditions etc.
• Evaluate and process vendors claims
• Prepare monthly progress claims, variation orders and final accounts
• Verification of sub-contractor payment, vo and final account
• Handle other assigned duties or related job as required

Requirements:

• Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering/Quantity Surveying or equilavent
• Minimum 2 years of experience in related field
• Familiar with local standards, project implementations & building codes
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Mandarin speaking & written is essential knowledge due to coordinate with chinese client and project team
