Responsibilities:
- Provide a prompt and appropriate technical advice to Sales and Operation Personnel on their waste management enquiry which includes safe waste handling procedure and costing breakdown.
- Work closely with sales and operation department to establish a cost-effective treatment/recovery method for incoming/customer waste.
- Assist in providing advice and co-ordination work in technical-driven waste management.
- Improve existing and develop new treatment methods.
- Support of segregation of incoming waste and assign the waste to correct department, ensure the waste are being treated properly and safely.
- Assist in alternative treatment identification.
- Ensure good housekeeping in the laboratory and area of work.
- Follow the existing system and documentation as per the procedures.
- Update the relevant records and effectively communicate to relevant departments and people.
Requirements:
- Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineer, Environmental engineering or similar trades
- Minimum of 1- 2 years of chemical related industry
- Laboratory experience is an added advantage
- Able to work in outdoor environment due to nature of work in operation plants
- Good analytical abilities and communication skills
