Key Responsibilities:
The Data Center Business Development Leader (DC BD) is a newly created role responsible for growing commercial equipment, controls and service sales with specific focus on expanding our Data Center customers. Your extensive knowledge about Data Center products along with exposure in the HVAC industry will help drive our business objectives to deliver end to end sustainable, intelligent climate and energy efficiency solutions for our customers.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of data center solutions and have a proven track record in sales and business development. This role will focus on identifying market opportunities, engaging customers, managing accounts, and overseeing the bidding process for data center cooling solutions.
- Market Mapping: Identify and analyze market opportunities for data center cooling solutions in Vietnam, focusing on customer needs and industry trends.
- Customer Engagement: Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including colocation providers, hyperscalers, and enterprise accounts, to understand their requirements and tailor solutions accordingly.
- Account Management: Manage existing customer accounts, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention while driving new business opportunities.
- Bidding Process: Lead pre-bid activities, develop competitive proposals, and participate in tender submissions to secure new contracts.
- Negotiation and Closure: Negotiate terms and conditions with customers to finalize agreements and achieve revenue targets.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including engineering, operations, and regional Centers of Excellence (CoEs), to align strategies and support customer needs effectively.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve business goals and enhance market presence
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in sales and marketing of data center solutions and products.
- Proven track record in managing accounts at a country level, particularly within the data center industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in negotiation and closing sales effectively.
- Ability to work independently as an individual contributor while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with data center cooling technologies and solutions.
- Experience in working with plan and specification teams.
- You are eager to have a high degree of ownership, directly framing and influencing strategic decisions.
