Job Title: IT Support Specialist (EUC)
Our Client: A young, agile, and growing Singaporean IT management firm, the startup firm is part of a group that deliver innovative IT and fintech solutions for its customers around Asia. Their services include but are not limited to support cloud-based, on-premises, or hybrid deployment.
Responsibilities:
Endpoint & Application Management:
- Deploy, configure, maintain endpoint devices such as desktops, laptops, mobile devices and IoT devices
- Ensure endpoints are updated with the latest software patches, security updates and configuration to meet client’s standards
- Deploy, configure, maintain a portfolio of applications ensuring security and optimal performance
- Monitor applications usage and license compliance, managing software updates and patches efficiently
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of endpoint and application configurations and management procedures
Security & Compliance:
- Implementing and maintaining endpoint security measures guarantees the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data
- Implementing and maintaining application security measures ensures protection against unauthorized access, data breaches, and various threats, while aligning with corporate policies
- Ensure endpoints and applications comply with corporate policies and industry standards
Continuous Monitoring:
- Implement endpoint and applications security and performance monitoring to maintain the confidentiality, integrity and availability of data and applications
Automation:
- Develop and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline endpoint and application management tasks such as deployment, updates, monitoring, and troubleshooting
- Utilize automation frameworks to reduce manual efforts and increase operational efficiency
Troubleshooting & Support:
- Provide Tier 2 support to end users, diagnosing and resolving issues related to endpoint devices, applications, and connectivity
- Document troubleshooting steps, solutions, and user support interactions to maintain a knowledge base and improve service efficiency
User Training & Documentation:
- Create user documentation, training materials, and FAQs to facilitate user adoption of new technologies and best practices for endpoint and application usage
- Conduct training sessions or workshops to educate end users on endpoint security, application features, and IT policies
Vendor & Asset Management:
- Manage relationships with hardware and software vendors, including procurement, licensing, and warranty management
- Maintain an inventory of endpoint devices, software licenses, and IT assets, ensuring accurate documentation and asset tracking
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay current with the latest developments in endpoint and application management technologies and practices
- Evaluate and recommend new tools and solutions to improve endpoint and application management and security
- Participate in the development and implementation of IT projects and initiatives related to endpoint and application services
The Successful Candidate
This role is reporting to the Infrastructure Manager in Singapore. The successful candidate requires a combination of technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
- At least Diploma in Information Technology/Computer Science
- Minimally 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in endpoint management tools such as JumpCloud, Clonezilla, or similar
- Preferably In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience managing applications such as: Google Workspace, Office 365, Active Directory, Adaxes, Atlassian Products, CrowdStrike, JumpCloud, Zendesk, Slack and MFA security tools
- Familiar with automation tools such as ansible
- Familiar with Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Understanding of networking principles, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN
- A plus should you come with proficiency in scripting languages
- A plus should you come with the relevant certifications, such as Google Workspace Administrator, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), ITIL Foundation Certification
- An independent worker, at the same being able to work in a collaborative team environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to influence and manage relationships with stakeholders across all levels
