Patient Service Associate is to manage and provide frontline patient services such as patient admission, in-flight / discharge billing consultation, modes of payment consultation, general enquiries handling, birth registration and cashiering.

Patient Service Associates (PSA) provide frontline counter services to patients. PSA is to assist patients by checking patient’s service/order requirement, managing patient queues, handle basic enquiries (e.g. appointment booking) and to provide administrative support to medical technologists and radiographers.

KidSTART@NUH is a government-led initiative which seeks to provide support services to vulnerable pregnant mothers. This program has been highly successful in helping underprivileged pregnant mothers deliver a healthy baby and to ensure that the newborn gets the best start in life. Through home visits, the program actively engages families, social/community partners and government agencies to provide systematic, integrated and holistic support. The program aims to engage families from the early pregnancy period to maximize the health of both mother and baby, to support breastfeeding and to foster mother-child bonding so as to enhance child development and potential during the first 3 years of life.

The Patient Service Associate role is to provide support in outreach efforts to engage and to recruit new families to join the KidSTART@NUH Merged Home Visitation Programme. Overview and purpose of the position

KidSTART@NUH is a government-led initiative which seeks to provide support services to vulnerable pregnant mothers. This program has been highly successful in helping underprivileged pregnant mothers deliver a healthy baby and to ensure that the newborn gets the best start in life. Through home visits, the program actively engages families, social/community partners and government agencies to provide systematic, integrated and holistic support. The program aims to engage families from the early pregnancy period to maximize the health of both mother and baby, to support breastfeeding and to foster mother-child bonding so as to enhance child development and potential during the first 3 years of life.

The Patient Service Associate role is to provide support in outreach efforts to engage and to recruit new families to join the KidSTART@NUH Merged Home Visitation Programme. About Department and Purpose of the Position

We are seeking a dynamic, resilient and highly dedicated Patient Service Associate to join our Specialist Outpatient Clinics.

As a Patient Service Associate, you will deliver friendly, efficient customer service and create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our patients and visitors, with the key aim of providing excellence patient care and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Counter Registration
• Perform registration and screening of patients
• Perform accurate billing and timely collection of payments
• Comply to clinic facilities readiness
• Consultation Room
• Assist clinicians and/or therapists during clinic consultation.
• Provide proper care and coordination and coordinate first/follow-up appointments for patients.
• Manage wait time and keep patient updated in a timely manner.

Key Requirements

• Minimum “N” Level.
• Healthcare or service or related industry preferred but not required.
• Proficient in computer skills.
• Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to multitask and work in a fast paced environment.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Perform receptionist tasks such as greeting customers, scheduling of appointments, handling queries & complaints via phone, email or general correspondence.
• Maintain a high degree of patient care at the clinic, ensuring that patients have the best experience possible.
• Manage office supplies such as dental products, stationery, equipment and furniture.
• Ensure clinic operations run smoothly. Liaise with with appropriate vendors/department to resolve any issues.
• Submit dental claims vis CHAS, Medisave and Dental Insurance portals.
• Perform administrative duties such as maintaining clinic records, fill out clinic forms, and file timely reports.

Requirements:

• Experience in customer service or reception duties (preferred)
• Minimum Diploma
• Possess good communication skills
• Applicants with no experience working in dental clinic operations but are willing to learn are welcome to apply
• Career returnees are welcome to apply
• Must be able to work on at least one weekend (Sat or Sun)
