Field Service Technician or Engineer with a qualification from the Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) industry, and experience supporting maritime infrastructure and advanced IT solutions. Responsibilities and tasks:
-Monitor condition and maintain optimal operation of maritime sensor networks, servers, and IT infrastructure with high focus on cyber security.
-Provision of ICT technical support service including operating systems (Windows & Linux), RDBS (primarily SQL Server), 3rd party software (primarily VMware), proprietary software and networks (LAN/WAN).
-Act as link between end-users and higher-level support.
-Conduct preventative and rectification maintenance at customer locations world-wide both on land and offshore.
-Conduct installation, commissioning, and setting-to-work activities at customer locations world-wide.
-Provision of technical and operational training at customer locations world-wide.
-Inclusion in a shared duty roster for remote and on-site support service 24 /7 including weekends.
-Provision of technical support service for marine sensors including radar, radio, CCTV, AIS, etc.
-Participate in Customer Support department meetings, if required.
-Precise reporting and documentation of performed maintenance and rectification.
- Any other appropriate tasks required by the Line Manager.
