The Service Solutions Director is responsible for positioning Dynatrace’s Customer Success strategies and increasing sales of Dynatrace’s Professional Services and Support offerings.  This highly dynamic role works closely with the Dynatrace Product Sales Organization through all phases of the sales process and ensures a successful handoff to customer facing post-sales teams.  The Service Solutions Director will build and mature collaborative relationships with the Dynatrace Product Sales Organization, as well as customers, to understand needs and objectives, gain trust, and ultimately position the appropriate post-sales offerings.  There is also a strong need for good partner alignment with co-delivery strategies, partner support strategies, etc.

The goal of this role is to help new and existing Dynatrace customers realize success and maximize value from the Dynatrace platform and accelerate further investment in Dynatrace.  The scope of post sales offerings includes Customer Success, Professional Services, Business Insights services, Education, and Support.

Responsibilities:

• Develops strong, trust-based relationships with product sales and post-sales teams.
• Works with account teams to articulate the portfolio of post-sales offerings based on a prescriptive solution selling approach. 
• Matures the services sale through the opportunity pipeline to completion, including scoping, pricing, contracts, and procurement.
• Understand the Partners’ business and align Dynatrace Post Sales solutions to develop compelling ‘go to market’ propositions
• Develops relationships with Partners and delivers associated success strategies considering partner positioning.
• Delivers a well-orchestrated hand-off to post-sales teams ensuring knowledge captured during the pre-sales process is thoroughly communicated.  Ensures important information such as Customer business and technical objectives, known pain points, key customer milestones and contacts, scope of services, schedule and all presentations and artifacts shared with the customer are known to the teams engaging to deliver on the post-sales offerings.
• Delivers post-sales offering and positioning enablement to the product sales organization
• Participates in RFP responses to customers addressing post-sales topics
• Tracks and owns service sales forecast, pipeline, and opportunity hygiene.  Reporting on a frequent basis to track both productivity and performance.
• Identifies opportunities and collaborates with the global team to optimize and automate as much manual process as possible when selling service solutions
• Works collaboratively with Dynatrace Services Portfolio GTM, Post Sales Marketing and Enablement teams.  Provides input based on customer feedback and market trends which validates and consistently looks to improve post-sales offering positioning
• Provides unique skills and perspectives to cross-train team member peers
• Tracks and reviews regional post-sales revenue targets

Travel Requirements

• Occasional travel to client locations, Dynatrace offices and Dynatrace events may be required

Who we need:

• An experienced Global Data Centre Portfolio Management specialist working within a Portfolio Office for a major, global Bank ("Bank") with demonstrable history working across data centre and critical facilities asset portfolios and programme management.
• Able to operate and influence stakeholders at a global level (experience in Asia region critical to give effect to role)
• Ideal candidate must have’s:
  • Ability to lead; coordinate and drive strategic programme activity; proactively communicate blockers to targets at both a tactical and strategic level across supply partners and bank.
  • Must have ‘lean in’ and willingness to enable resolution to challenges
  • Form strategic alliances; elevate and distill key messages to senior client stakeholders (director level)
  • Have good understanding of regional challenges and banking culture nuance i.e. previous regional banking experience.
  • Excellent technical Excel & PowerPoint capabilities – detailed tracking and senior stakeholder presentations/ report outs.
  • Able to rapidly assemble to collate; aggregate and synthesize data into digestible reports – an communicate out the ‘so what’ impact.

What they will do:

Overview of requirements

• Expected to lead the planning, strategy creation and delivery of the Major Projects / Programmes in data centre space in accordance with the Bank’s standards.
• Align the data centre programme with the business / function and the group corporate real estate strategy.
• Monitor and track all works in bank premises and co-location sites including closures, re-classifications and migrations, operational oversight of downtimes and improvement works.
• Partnering closely with engineering and operations leaders to:
  • Lay approval groundwork strategy and outline projects needs by communicating with stakeholders early and often, ensuring country and group levels understand planned pipeline and change management.

Programme & Portfolio Management

• Drive cross-team projects as needed to meet the changing business environment and to manage complex business needs.
• Leads project / programme management to ensure organization-wide implementation of strategic efforts that require hands-on coordination across multiple disciplines and business organizations.
• Leads strategic innovation and experimentation.
• Implement planning and scheduling programmes to meet customer needs.
• Drive business results through key performance indicators and business goals, promoting clarity and motivation to the project team to execute on time, under budget, while delivering high quality results with zero rework.
• Partner with finance and supply chain organizations to ensure accurate capital spending.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that each project meets its objectives and is delivered on time.
• Develop and implement project management processes and tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
• Provide regular project updates to senior management and other stakeholders. 

Planning & Scheduling

• Develop and oversee the implementation of detailed project plans, including timelines, and resource requirements, for large-scale data center projects.
• Manage cross-functional teams, including engineers, procurement, and construction to ensure project milestones are met and deliverables are completed on time.
• Monitor project risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential issues.
• Work with clients to understand their needs and ensure project outcomes meet their expectations.

Governance, Stakeholder Engagement & Delivery Support

• Act as a liaison between risk management, SME’s governance, and delivery teams, facilitating the smooth transition of strategic insights into project execution.
• Lead governance forums to present portfolio plans, risk assessments, and performance metrics to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
• Provide delivery teams with clear capacity management guidelines and sequencing recommendations for executing activities.
• Build consensus across departments and geographies by aligning stakeholders on portfolio goals and timelines.

Improvements & Efficiencies​

• Analyse data quickly, identify pain points and embed interventions/process improvements.
• Determines and leads process improvements to quickly scope insights; and drives change management initiatives.
• Bring structure and actively seeks ways of improving and automating current ways of working, systems & processes.​ This will include deployment of tools, proficiency in data analytics, and ability to streamline processes to better meet business needs.

The Service Delivery Director shall be the single point of contact for the services to be delivered under this Contract and be present at all management meetings. If he is not available, he shall be duly represented by a person of higher authority, who shall have good knowledge of the services to be delivered, status and issues under this contract.

The Service Delivery Director is required to manage a large team of over 100 resources and have strong technical background to manage the complex environment.
 

Project Delivery

• Review the project lifecycle (initiation, plan, execution, completion)
• Review project schedules, quality plans, budgets, and communication and risk management plans
• Manage issues arising out of scope definition and subsequent disputes that impacted scope, schedule and cost
• Manage issues arising from integration of various components of the project including hardware, software installation, testing, business process review, redesign, application development, migration and data conversion etc.
• Oversee the implementation of the project with regard to schedules, budget, manpower and quality
• Resolve project overrun issues with Senior Management
• Monitor and report on project management progress
• Manage resources in terms of mobilizing resources during different periods of time from team to team to maximize productivity or minimize wastage
