RESPONSIBILITIES

The Research Administration & Development Office (RADO) is established to serve as an administration & liaison office to support all research works at National Heart Research Institute Singapore, National Heart Centre Singapore.

As a RADO executive, you will assist with research grant applications and manage awarded grants. The Ocular Epidemiological Research Group at SERI conducts ophthalmic epidemiologic research via machine learning in Singapore and Asia. In addition, together with Retina and Glaucoma Research Groups at SERI, we are conducting several clinical projects, collectively involving over 100,000 study subjects, with comprehensive image and genetic data.

For the role of a Research Officer, you will be working in the Ocular Epidemiology Research Group with the following (but not limited to) responsibilities,

We are on the lookout for a highly motivated individual to become a pivotal member of our dynamic team at the NCCS. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping Singapore’s cancer research infrastructure centered around a national cancer database that consolidates clinical data from the largest cancer healthcare cluster in Singapore, tissue availability through tissue bank network and molecular research data. These components are meticulously linked to each other and integrated cluster-wide, forming the backbone of our data-driven projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Project Management:

- Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of SingHealth healthcare research projects from initiation to completion.

- Collaborate with project stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.

- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and ensure adherence to project milestones and deadlines.

- Manage project and team meetings across sub-teams towards a larger objective.

- Track project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.

- Communicate project updates and status reports to project team members and stakeholders.

2. Data Management:

- Oversee healthcare data extraction, storage, and analysis activities in accordance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.

Requirements:

- Degree in Life Sciences, Health Sciences, Bioinformatics, Statistics, Mathematics Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science and/or Business Analytics.

- Minimal 5 years of experience in project management and data management, preferably in a Healthcare or Research setting.

- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) and experience with oncology, research or healthcare data management systems are desirable but not required.

PHARMACY TECHICIAN

You will assist our pharmacists in housekeeping, preparing, distributing, dispensing and inventory management of pharmaceuticals. You will be required to interact with patients, caregivers and other healthcare providers to achieve desired patient outcomes.
