Responsibilities
- Coordinate and Plan Engineering Resources to support operations on day-to-day matters including technical enquiry, engine testing troubleshooting and out of scope repair instructions development.
- Manage engine investigation and teardown review including preparation of relevant reports.
- Perform engine performance and parts analysis to improve engine build standards.
- Review Customer’s requirements and recommend engine work scope to optimize engine on-wing life.
- Perform engine parts inspection and scrap parts review.
- Review and implement recommendations of Technical Publications (e.g. SBs, TSB, SCETI, Action Items etc).
- Communicate with home office Service Center Engineering (Montreal) for technical advice and instructions.
- Spearhead initiatives in reducing cost of poor quality/ test reject and share best practices within the network.
- Lead in Quality Improvements Activities (e.g. ACE, CAR & RRCA).
- Provide technical assistance to operation on high technical intensity/ complex shop equipment i.e. CMM.
- Leading and support process and product improvement projects.
- Responsible for identifying and maintaining a safe workplace.
Requirements
- Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Possess 3 to 5 years of technical experience with strong understanding of Aerospace Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul business.
- Experienced in leading aero-engine troubleshooting and investigation is preferred.
- Strong customer focused and analytical skills for problem solving,
- Strong team player who is self-motivated and pro-active,
- Possess a good track record in continuous improvement project,
- Excellent written & verbal communication and presentation skills.
