You may be asked to participate in the development of use cases and delivery of proof-of-concept prototypesfor government and industry partners in the areas of computable contracts and "rules as code". Experience inrequirements analysis and agile, iterative methodologies will be useful at this stage.The work of the team will be largely determined by these use cases and customers. We will work with multipleuse cases so that we can abstract across them and develop generalized, reusable infrastructure. We will workwith specific customers so we can build useful applications on top of that infrastructure.You will contribute to the design and development of open-source software written to serve those use cases.You will work as part of a team of research engineers, developers, and domain expertise and you will beexpected to actively participate in team meetings and text-based communications. You will be expected to beactive members of the applied research community, by validating and contributing to advances incomputational law.

You may be asked to conduct use-inspired research at the direction of the Principal Investigator. This includes

• reading academic papers, standards publications, and related material such as blog posts and presentations;
• coming up to speed in fields which may be new to you, such as computational linguistics, mathematical logic, programming language design, formal verification, and model-based architecture;
• reading (and updating/commenting, relevant) existing software documentation;
• creating presentations, video recordings, walkthroughs, etc. to document and explain research work done;
• writing (and presenting, if so decided by the PI) academic papers and materials for publication; and
• documenting in a sufficiently-detailed manner so as to share what you've learned.

You will be expected to participate in software development; this includes

• learning how to use third party tools, including editors, IDEs, databases, business process modeling software, programming languages, and libraries;
• evaluating competing software systems for suitability;
• building infrastructure to enable application development;
• managing yourself, and managing fellow team members;
• engaging in product, project, and program management as needed;
• reading books and consuming such other media forms about software development;

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to premium customer accounts.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex, critical, and sensitive support issues via phone, email, and occasionally remote sessions.
• Collaborate efficiently with Technical Support colleagues locally in Singapore and globally across locations including APJ, UK, US, and Singapore.
• Engage with next-tier support, development, or product management colleagues when necessary to resolve customer problems.
• Escalate critical issues and roadblocks through various available internal escalation paths.
• Transition product issues to Engineering and product enhancements to Product Management, providing regular updates to the customer.
• Reproduce customer issues and, when necessary, document solutions to known/common issues.
• Learning and accumulating knowledge on new technologies, and act as a multiplier.
• Be available for on-call duties after hours and on weekends occasionally.
• Attend and contribute to customer-facing conferences.
• Manage customer communication and expectations.

What You Need To Succeed

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related Technical Field.
• Ideally, 5 years of experience in Enterprise Technical Support or a similar position in a software company.
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS and proficiency in Linux/*Nix OS.
• Proven technical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to understand the technical aspects of complex systems.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to provide effective resolutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-centric approach.
• Ability and willingness to learn and work independently as well as within a team.

• Provide wide-ranging HR support as the first point of contact to the airport staff, including preparation of HR documents, employee inquiry, and administration of various leave of absence and benefits (shared services).
• You will be working closely with the respective Operations Manager of the Divisions under your purview.
• Maintain and update employees' personal files and HR Systems.
• Application, renewal, and cancellation of foreign worker Work Passes.
• Preparation of Final Settlement of exiting staff at end of contract or resignations.
• Generate reports for management, finance, billing etc.
• Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to create a positive and inclusive work culture, such as organising staff events e.g., CSR (Corporate Social Responsibilities) activites.
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties as requested or assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Business Administration or Human Resources.
• At least 2-3 years of experience in handling full set of payroll in high volume especially for final settlement (Resignee for Local & Foreign staff)
• Prefers strong HR operational background, understanding of Singapore employment laws and knowledge of best HR market practices.
• Good experience in MS Excel (eg turn out reports)
• Has passion and empathy in interacting with people, and willing to go the extra mile.
• Self-Starter and a team player with a strong sense of responsibility & self-motivation to get tasks done independently.
• Hands-on with personal data entry in any HRIS such as Success Factors/SAP, RAMCO, ProSoft, etc. is preferred. TimeSoft and TimeSoft PRO will be an added advantage.

Tasks:

• Work with System Engineers and vendors to resolve customers' technical problems
• Ensure support cases are tracked and duly closed
• Manage support cases through the use of SAP and support ticketing system
• Work closely with various teams, eg. Sales, Logistics and subsidiaries to manage the handling of repair items
• Analysis of support and repair data
• Sharing of preventive measures with Engineers and Customers to reduce equipment failures

Qualifications:

• At least a diploma in Electronics engineering
• Preferably with minimum 2 years' working experience
• Knowledge in RF & EMC is an advantage
• Working knowledge in SAP a plus
