Landon Veterinary Specialists is a referral clinic established in 2012. We are seeking a Veterinary Receptionist to join our compassionate and tight knit team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Greeting pets and their families
• Picking up phone calls and setting up appointments
• Receiving goods from suppliers
• Collecting payments
• Keeping the reception, consult rooms and surrounding areas clean
• Liaising between referring clinics and departments

This is a part-time position which may include weekend shifts.

Commitment for at least one-year is required.

About you

• Experience within the industry or a in a medical setting would be a bonus but not necessary
• Experience in a clinical setting is desirable
• Excellent phone manner
• Good spoken and written English
• Must be comfortable with handling small animals

Role Description

• Billing, checking patient's details, past invoices, appointment records, and checking payment records using Clinic Assist software
• Assist in appointments, operating theatre, ward, and other related bookings
• Assist in patient queries and divert calls to relevant parties
• Advise patients whether cashless payments can be extended for their visits
• Submission of claims through various insurance portals
• E-filing of patient details/chats with patients
• Prepare instruments and assist the surgeon independently for minor surgeries
• This role will require standing in as a chaperone for patients

Responsibilities:

• Handle full set of accounts.
• Prepare monthly Bank, AP & AR & fixed asset & inventory reconciliations.
• Reconcile monthly intercompany balances and transactions.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
• Maintain proper filing system and accurate accounting records.
• Responsible for processing all student receipts and refunds.
• Responsible for updating the receipt batch and prepare the necessary paperwork for banking and filing purposes.
• Reviewing student files for action.
• Ensure timeliness and accuracy of month end closing.
• Prepare periodic tax return filings for both direct and indirect taxes
• Liaise with external auditors and tax agents.
• Assist superior in quarterly consolidation, year-end audit and preparation of annual report
• Any other tasks, administrative duties or ad-hoc projects as assigned by direct manager.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Navision or Microsoft D365 is an added advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Word and Excel.
• Experience in handling full spectrum of Accounts.
