The Research Partnership and Grant Management Senior Manager/Manager supports both the Office of Business Development and Industry Engagement (OBI) and the Office of Grant Management in administrative, coordination and innovation efforts in the area of research partnerships and grant management at GIS.
The successful candidate will lead research partnership efforts to enable strategic partnerships with public sector parties in advancing GIS's mission and vision. He or she will also lead in efforts to identify and promote valuable intellectual properties and assets arising from GIS's research; and develop viable commercialisation pathways alongside teams from GIS's business development, Innovation and Enterprise, Biomedical Sciences Industry Partnership Office, etc.
As for Grant Management, the successful candidate will coordinate grant applications and develop strategies alongside GIS's researchers to improve chances of successful grant application. He or she will also organise training and coaching for early career researchers in their grant applications.

The expected duties are:
- Lead and organise legal documentation (i.e. NDA, MTA, RCA etc), including the drafting, review, discussion and negotiations with collaborators in accordance with A*STAR's guidelines.
- Develop a network of institutional relationships with academic institutions, clinical communities, government agencies, grantors and internal A*STAR stakeholders.
- Support and administer filing of technical disclosures and provide filing strategies for researchers.
- Develop processes to support Technical Disclosure Showcase in engaging various A*STAR stakeholders.
- Manage and track defined commercialisation plans for GIS? IP portfolio.
- Track and compile periodic institutional KPI reporting for management review.
- Support and administer publications.
- Administration for pre and post award stages of competitive grants, including the review and submission of grant proposals, progress reports, etc.
- Provide guidance to researchers to ensure compliance to various grant T&C.
- Seek opportunities to enhance grant application processes through organising trainings and coaching for GIS's ECR.
- Assist with other ad-hoc duties
Job Requirements
- Degree in a scientific discipline related to GIS's core research areas
- More than 5 years of industry or research experience.
- Outstanding written, communication and administrative skills
- Customer-oriented and a team player.
- Excellent organisation and leadership skills.
- A self-starter and problem solver who pro-actively tackles problems.
- Self Driven
- Ability to build and maintain long-term and short-term partnerships, and to identify and contextualise stakeholder issues and manage them in an appropriate manner.
- Occasional travel may be required.
