Principal Accountabilities
To teach:
- Contextualising Education
- Combining Professional and Academic Practice
- Educational Research: Practice and Planning
- MA Education Dissertation
- Philosophy and Stance in Educational Inquiry
- Research ethics, Planning and Presently
- Advanced Independent Study
Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials
- Assess student assignments, reports, examination papers and grade student performance
- Keep an eye on student progress and supervise research students
- Discuss with students their progress and/or aspirations
- Research a specialized field of study and publish the findings in books or professional and academic journals
REQUIREMENTS
- Min 3 years of teaching experience in higher education
- Experience or knowledge of module and/or programme leadership, development and administration within a higher education environment
- Teaching qualifications, e.g. Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA), Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP) and Diploma in Adult and Continuing Education (DACE) will be an added advantage.
- Review and approve teaching assignments as proposed by programme executives.
- Able to teach in the day and evening
- Only Master or Ph.D or Doctorate in Education will be considered
