• Prepare digital artwork for authority posters, signage, videos, and presentation slides.
• Provide support for ICT/AVA equipment setup for department programmes.

Qualifications, skills, and experience required:

• Minimum qualification – Diploma in Digital Media or related courses.
• Knowledge and use of Adobe Photoshop, web design, photography, video production, and editing. Candidates will be requested to provide examples of works related to digital media and video/photography.
• At least one year of work experience as an ICT trainer in digital media.

• To facilitate learning which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential through EdTech learning experiences, e.g., training and sending selected students out for competitions.
• To support and be aligned with the school’s aspiration and responsibility in providing opportunities to develop students holistically.

Planning:

• To assist in the development of appropriate schemes of work towards identified EdTech and Maker activities’ syllabuses. To develop teaching resources, schemes of work, assessment policies, and teaching strategies in the identified EdTech curriculum area.
• To contribute to the EdTech development in the school and the ICT Department’s development plan and its implementation.
• To ensure department documentation and practice in relation to Health and Safety is in place and adhered to (based on regulatory requirements).
• To assist in the developmental process of a school-based EdTech curriculum to ensure its relevance for alignment to the needs of students, examining and awarding bodies, and the Authority’s ethos.
• To work in collaboration with the ICT technical team to ensure that the ICT equipment is in good working order and suitable for teaching and learning use.

General Duties:

• Support in EdTech-related teaching and learning matters and students as appropriate.
• Be continuously updated on the latest EdTech-related and ICT-related skillsets which are deemed important to support one in carrying out the professional duties in this role.
• Support the ICT team in operational matters.

Knowledge:

• A full awareness of the current issues relating to the EdTech development in schools.
• Proficient knowledge in the use of EdTech.
• Basic programming knowledge.

Job Description

1. Conduct software training for students in school in 3 main areas: Cybersecurity, Analytics and Mobile App.

Cybersecurity:

• Raise awareness about primary school students on the importance of cybersecurity in a fun and engaging manner
• Engage students in project work on real encryption algorithm
• Aspire students to adopt cyber hygiene practices and share cybersecurity tips with their loved ones

Analytics:

• Generate interests among secondary and junior college students on the basic concepts of Data Analytics
• Exposed secondary and Junior College students to the fundamentals of data analysis like data gathering and data mining
• Guide secondary and junior college students on the application of data analysis tools in interesting project themes like World Cup 2022

Mobile App:

• Introduce programming technologies and design tools on mobile applications to students
• Guide students in the creation of their very own mobile app through the script-based programming-based tool, Ionic
• Assist students in understanding how data collected from their app can be visualised, analysed and presented using a data analytics visual representation software

Job Requirements:

1. IT background and someone registered with MOE
2. IT savvy and able to pick up new software very quickly
3. Good verbal and written communication skills, proactive with good working attitudes
4. Candidates should have at least 6 months of working experience in teaching in ICT.

Details:

1. Project based part-time assignment
2. Working hours: Flexible hours in both morning and afternoons, after official school hours
3. Remuneration: $15-$50/hr
