Roles & Responsibilities
- Research, source, plan and develop high quality curriculum with creative content in line with set teaching pedagogies and requirements.
- Plan and prepare weekly lessons in line with the requirements to provide high-quality learning experiences, meeting set objectives.
- Coordinate review and feedback on the curriculum and update lessons on a continuous basis to meet teaching objectives.
- Develop and conduct training programmes for teachers implementing the curriculum.
- Conduct pre-assessments of new students and progress assessments for existing students to monitor reading proficiency levels and set development/improvement goals.
- Teach the Reading programme with prescribed teaching materials, aids and pedagogy and in ways that excite curiosity and facilitate active learning, cultivating a love for reading.
- Perform any ad-hoc duties or responsibilities assigned (for full time teachers only).
- Maintain a high standard of work ethic, punctuality, good discipline and order.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- At least a Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood, Educational Studies in Early Years Enrichment or Literacy, English Language or English Literature.
- At least 1-2 year of work experience in curriculum planning, development, training and teaching phonics and reading classes to young learners.
- Strong command of English, both spoken and written with excellent academic track record in English Language.
- Good class management skills with children of all ages and background.
- Energetic, creative, enthusiastic, patient and enjoys teaching children in a fun and exciting manner.
- Flexible working hours according to the school terms.
