Responsibilities

• Conduct research within assigned area of fixed income market coverage using information sources, including financial statements, earnings reports, published research, financial databases, corporate and management access
• Generate timely, and actionable bond investment ideas. Work with other members of the research team to evaluate a comprehensive range of bonds and bond funds
• Achieve and maintain a coverage list of bond issuers, and provide periodic research recommendations for bonds in the coverage list and newly issued bonds
• Communicate these investment ideas to the investing public and internal stakeholders through research reports, presentations, and other channels
• Contribute investment views and research in collaboration with the regional offices
• Contribute to the growth of the firm's fixed income business
• Undertake additional/ ad-hoc duties and projects assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor degree holder in a related discipline (accountancy, economic, finance or business administration), preferably with investment research experience
• Experience working with systems such as Bloomberg is desirable
• Good understanding of financial statements, bond mathematics, and macro drivers
• Demonstrated strong analytical skills, numerical capability, and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills. Strong command of both spoken and written English. Mandarin speaking capability is a plus
• Demonstrated interest in and passion for investing
• Able to multi-task and meet constant deadlines

Responsibilities

The Research Analyst will primarily be responsible for generating investment ideas in his/her assigned area of market coverage, and communicating these ideas to the investing public predominantly through original research articles and presentations.

• Conduct fundamental research within assigned area of market coverage using publicly available information sources, including financial statements, company annual reports, published research, and online databases
• Generate high-conviction investment ideas (including stocks, unit trusts, and ETFs) across various geographical markets and/or sectors. Work with other members of the research team to evaluate a comprehensive range of active and passive products.
• Communicate these ideas to the investing public, as well as internal stakeholders, through various channels, including original research articles and seminar presentations.
• Participate in discussions and contribute ideas to portfolio decision-making within the team’s disciplined investment process.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor degree holder in a related discipline (accountancy, finance or business administration), preferably with at least one year of investment research experience. Fresh graduates with the right aptitude and attitude are welcomed to apply for this position.
• Strong analytical skills, with a deep understanding of financial statements and equity valuation methodologies. Able to distil large amounts of information into an investable thesis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare research reports, investment targets, and product recommendations tailored to the needs of clients in Mainland China.
• Plan and organise investment outlook seminars or forums, both online and offline;
• Provide advice on investment portfolios to affluent public;
• Engage in online promotion and brand-building activities;
• Establish or refine internal processes related to the company's systems or services, or any value-added services.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree or above from internationally recognised universities, with a preference for graduates in finance-related majors;
• Proficiency in Mandarin to serve Chinese clients;
• Possess solid financial and statistical knowledge, familiar with FOF/MOM portfolio management and related construction strategies;
• A keen interest in equity market and fund market research;
• Sharp-minded and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Research Team in preparing of presentations and reports
• Simple data mining and analysis
• Update research databases
• Attend meetings and write meeting briefs
• Answer simple investment questions from financial advisors and customer service executives
• Undertake any other duties assigned to him from time to time by the Research Manager

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree qualification in a related discipline (Economics, Finance, International Business/Commerce), with strong quantitative and qualitative analysis abilities
• Good understanding of macroeconomics and investment valuation methodologies
• Willingness to learn and support the team in all activities
• No prior experience is needed
• Able to commit for minimum three months starting May 2024
