Requirements:
- Possess a Diploma/Degree in related field of study (Psychology, Social Work) and have completed SDESN
- Diploma in Special Education by National Institute of Education (NIE)
- Minimum 3 years working experience with young child with neurodevelopmental and diverse needs in an early intervention setting
- Knowledge of AEPS would be an advantage
- Proficient in writing and communicating in English language
- Converse in Mandarin would be an advantage and able to speak to Mandarin speaking parents and caregivers
- Able to handle the physical demands of the role, such as lifting and carrying the students and equipment, and cleaning and maintaining equipment and facilities.

Responsibilities:
1. Leadership in Curriculum Development
- Design, plan, and implement individualized curriculum, lesson plans, and IEPs for all students, ensuring alignment with academic and developmental goals.
- Deliver tailored lessons while overseeing the effective execution of the curriculum by all teachers to maintain consistency in quality and approach.
- Proactively oversee curriculum mapping and differentiation, ensuring lessons meet the diverse needs of all students.
2. Programme Evaluation and Development
- Manage the enrolment and internal assessment processes for all students, ensuring timeliness and comprehensiveness.
- Utilize assessment data to inform curriculum planning and interventions, proactively aligning lesson plans with students' academic, social, and developmental goals.
3. Behavioral and Social-Emotional Interventions
- Lead the planning and implementation of social, emotional, and behavioral interventions, ensuring they are tailored to individual learning objectives.
- Provide ongoing behavioral support strategies and guidance to teachers on effectively managing student behavior.
4. Mentorship and Teacher Development
- Mentor teachers and assistant teachers in curriculum execution, lesson delivery, classroom management, and behavioral interventions.
- Lead regular in-house training sessions to enhance instructional quality and ensure the consistent application of evidence-based practices.
5. Classroom Management
- Oversee classroom management to create a supportive and engaging environment for all students.
- Proactively guide teachers on behavior documentation, reporting, and intervention strategies while monitoring overall classroom dynamics.
6. Collaboration and Transdisciplinary Approach
- Facilitate regular meetings with the Early Intervention Team, Allied Health Professionals (AHPs), parents, and external stakeholders (preschools) to coordinate interventions for all students and ensure a transdisciplinary approach.
- Organize center events, outdoor learning opportunities, and lead caregiver training sessions to empower caregivers in supporting home-based learning.
7. Operational Support
- Share responsibilities in sourcing, purchasing, and inventory management of classroom resources, ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment for all.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, including regular health checks and incident reporting.
- Provide class coverage and additional support to teachers as needed to maintain smooth instruction and classroom dynamics.
8. Student Recordkeeping
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, assessments, and interventions, ensuring timely reporting to relevant stakeholders.
