ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan, supervise and deliver the programme in accordance with the policies, guidelines, frameworks and philosophy
• Prepare and implement programmes and age-appropriate teaching aids
• Maintain accurate records of the children’s progress and address the children’s educational and developmental gaps
• Complete the progress reports of the children for each semester and prepare developmental portfolio for every child
• Communicate with parents and meet the parents to address any concerns
• Upkeep of teaching resources, arrangement, appearance, decorations and learning environment of the classroom
• To be familiar with all working curriculum documents, handbooks and policy manuals

REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education–Teaching (DECCE-T)
• Fluent in English/Chinese Language (spoken and written) as lessons are conducted in English or Chinese
• Creative and energetic
• Classroom management skills

Job Description

The duties and responsibilities of a Teacher shall include the following but not limited to:

1. Plan, prepare and deliver lessons
2. Tailor and apply pedagogy that may attend to different learnings of the students
3. Evaluate and provide feedback on students’ performance via assignments and assessments
4. Monitor students’ social development through counselling and working with parents
5. Work with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. parents) to ensure meeting the pastoral and cognitive needs of the students
6. In-charge of at least one co-curricular activity and/or committee
7. Participate in departmental meetings, parents’ teacher meetings and any other school-wide training events
8. Any other duties assigned by the School

Job Requirements

• A good undergraduate degree in the relevant discipline
• A Post-Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) is required
• Passion to teach the age group of students from 13 to 18 years old
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good team player
• This is a 2-year contract (renewable)
