Detailed research tasks include physical-space adversarial example attacks, applying redundancy and diversity of deep neural networks to harden object detection and semantic segmentation, as well as maintaining the real-time performance of the hardened AI computing on embedded GPUs (NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin). RGB camera and LiDAR will be the main sensing modalities to be studied.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the research project with Principal Investigator (PI), Co-PI and the research team members to ensure all project deliverables are met.
• Undertake these responsibilities in the project:

The Future Ready Food Safety Hub (FRESH) serves as Singapore’s lead scientific platform under the Singapore Food Story R&D Programme, to bring together researchers, regulators and industry to build up Singapore’s food safety science and R&D capabilities to secure Singapore’s food supply and economic value proposition. FRESH will embark on R&D and talent development activities to help enhance Singapore’s local food regulatory capabilities and allow “first-in-market” food products to be safely launched in Singapore, as well as help promote Singapore-developed food standards internationally. The Research Engineer I, Regulatory Science, will support FRESH research into food safety regulations and frameworks in Asia.
