Position: Learning & Development Manager

Job Description

The Manager, Learning and Organisation Development is responsible for developing learning and development plans based on the assessment of development areas for the workforce to meet business requirements. They liaise with stakeholders to communicate and implement organisation development and change interventions to ensure that the organisation's strategy and plans are delivered effectively and efficiently. In addition, he is responsible for managing team operations and performance and leverages Skills Frameworks in creating learning roadmaps and integrating them with learning programmes under the team's purview.

• Conduct learning needs analysis to assess their current capabilities and areas of development required to deliver against the organisation’s strategy, business restructuring and plans
• Develop customised learning and development strategies, plans and curricula to improve overall workforce capabilities for current and future roles and to promote lifelong learning
• Recommend and implement innovative and creative learning and development channels and technology to engage learners and increase the effectiveness of learning and development interventions
• Equip supervisors and line managers with the skills and tools to mentor, train and provide job coaching
• Analyse learning effectiveness evaluation data to derive insights on the effectiveness and return on investment of learning and development programmes and recommend improvement actions to improve workforce capabilities.
• Conduct organisational diagnosis to assess and analyse the current state and identify opportunities for organisational development and change interventions
• Propose, plan and execute organisational development and change interventions to drive and facilitate organisational development and change
• Monitor the progress and evaluate the effectiveness of the organisation development and or change interventions
• Execute broad-based communications strategy to articulate the business case, importance and impact of organisation development and change interventions on the overall business objectives
• Conduct stakeholder analysis and execute stakeholder engagement activities to manage highly influential stakeholders to support organisation development and change interventions
• Leverage skills maps of the Skills Frameworks to identify learning gaps and develop competency frameworks
• Create learning roadmaps with reference to career maps and skills maps of the Skills Frameworks
• Develop learning programmes and channels with reference to Technical and Generic Skills and Competencies (TSCs and GSCs) of the Skills Frameworks
• Plan organisation development interventions in accordance with skills maps of the Skills Frameworks

Candidate profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Psychology, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Learning & Development or HR, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
• Proven track record in designing, delivering, and evaluating learning programs across diverse channels
• Knowledge of current L&D trends, technologies, and best practices
• Ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Strategic thinker with the ability to align L&D efforts with business objectives
• Strong leadership capabilities, with a focus on team development and coaching

Senior/Literacy Intervention Teacher

The Senior/Literacy Intervention Teacher provides literacy intervention to 5 to 12-year old students with learning challenges and disabilities to cope and remain in mainstream schools. This role is for a committed individual who wants to make a difference in the lives of children and their families.

Job Responsibilities

• Teach primarily using the Orton-Gillingham approach
• Tailor individualised educational plan for each student based on his/her learning challenges
• Prepare appropriate teaching resources and materials
• Write annual educational progress report for each student
• Update parents regularly on their children’s progress and to conduct the parent-teacher conference twice a year
• Plan and execute Kids Club programmes with other colleagues
• Update the manager and assistant manager on clients’ progress and development
• Collaborate with colleagues, Psychological Services and schools’ SEN-O on case management
• Handle students’ administrative matters
• Any other assigned duties and responsibilities

Job Requirements

• Available to work half a day on Saturdays
• Sound theoretical understanding of child development
• Passionate about working with children with learning needs
• Ability to engage and make strong student connections
• Good command of the English language, preferably bilingual
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to collaborate with corporate partners, schools and hospitals
• Degree, preferably in psychology, early childhood education or special needs education
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic IT knowledge and skills
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
