Leader is a high-tech environmental technology provider listed on SGX. As a Research Engineer specializing in control algorithms, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and implementing optimal control algorithms based on machine learning models for wastewater treatment processes in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Fluency in Chinese is a requirement for this role, as you will be communicating with Chinese clients.
In this role, you will be involved with the end-to-end development and implementation of the optimal control algorithm based on the ML model for the wastewater treatment process. In addition, you will be expected to translate state-of-the-art control techniques into working products and deploy them at scale. Our technology team has developed innovative solutions in the wastewater treatment area and we are heading towards the next phase of innovative solutions.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct high-quality studies on data-based/model-based process control for optimizing wastewater processes
2. Develop control algorithms based on model predictive control (MPC) using machine learning models
3. Develop multi-parameter systems for different optimal control scenarios
4. Deploy optimal control algorithms in real wastewater treatment plants
5. Adjust algorithms based on feedback from real-world applications
Requirements:
1. Master or PhD degree in an engineering-related field with a minimum of two years of relevant work experience
2. Strong programming skills in Python or other languages
3. Experience with control algorithms such as linear and nonlinear control, robust control, adaptive control, and model predictive control
4. Good knowledge of machine learning algorithms
5. Hands-on experience testing control algorithms with real hardware implementation
6. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
7. Excellent communication and teamwork skills
